Reading a magazine âRoomâ in Bangkok at Starbucks, I came across the article about this restaurant: by design, by chefâs creativity, and by accident. Located in the outskirt of city of Ching Mai, and I was on my way there this afternoon, so I quickly searched for address and added to my list of explorations. Greeted by the owner who waited at my table. A set menu for 990 Bahts, or slight under $30, there were about 15 or so dishes on the menu. Small bite, but OMG, I was full when it came to the last dish! I ordered an Australian chardonnay for my food since it was the only choice on âby glassâlist. The food was nothing Thai as you expect to taste, no curry and no chili pepper. As for the taste of the food, I give it 3.9 out of 5, I undoubtedly give 5 out of 5 for setting and creativity! Service was excellent, with smile, friendly Thai culture. I could not ask for more on that note!Check it out when you are in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

What a great little Thai Fusion restaurant we found. The food is excellent with a nicely varied menu and very reasonable prices. Service is above par and parking is no problem. The owner is a delight and also speaks good English. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Little restaurant with nice atmosphere. We service breakfast, Lunch and dinner. We have both Thai food and Western food. For Thai food we don't use MSG for cooking. As well as Western food. We use fresh and quality products. We don't use instant gravy.

All I have to say is that Kwanâs restaurant and especially Kwanâs burger by far is one the most delicious and tastiest burger you can have in Chiangmai city. Forget about all those expensive restaurants with expensive advertising and just try this place one time. Low price as well high quality. Kwanâs is the place to go to Thai or western food. You wonât be disappointed

Had a meal at this place a couple of times but was unimpressd with the sevice that let it down somewhat. The owner sat at a table with friends and was completely uninterested in his other customers and in providing a decent service. The food wasn't very good, certainly not for the price paid, pretty bland and uninspiring. Last time I passed by this place it appeared to be closed down with a "For Rent" sign outside so I guess that the owner failed to provide a decent service, good food and reputation to keep it going.
