This hotel is average in terms of food quality, quality of room & service. Hotel & room size are compact. Overall, cleanliness is average. Restaurant has very few items for vegetarians. Staff is polite. Only advantage is that it is very close to the lake.

We found the restaurant following TripAdvisor reviews and we chose to eat here. We were 2 couples and we made each other different food choices and everything was delicious! Thanks for the delicious dinner and for the warm and professional service! Relaxing, warm and cozy atmosphere, the food prepared with culinary art and a lot of love and the dessert was more than delicious! and also the decaf coffee âï¸Thank you, it was perfect

The main reason for the 2 stars isnât the food, which is decent, but it is the fact that they allow people to smoke inside at the bar, which is quite close to the dining area. I think that is absolutely disgusting and had I known before coming in, I would not have come to begin with. Especially since there arenât enough servers so it took forever for dinner to come and for us to attract the attention of the server to order desert. The food is ok, the schnitzel was a bit too greasy for my liking and the fries werenât very crispy. All in all an ok meal but unfortunately as long as smoking inside is allowed thereâs no way Iâll be back

What a fabulous 18 hole course at Golfclub Urslautal, beautifully located in a tranquil landscape on a high 800m plateau between Saalfelden & the delightful rural Maria Alm. The par 71 golf course offers a fun challenge playing approx. 6000m off the white tee boxes and 5738m from the yellows. Partly long, partly hilly but it's not too steep or tight. And you loop back to the 19th hole at halfway if you need a drink or snack in the beating Alpine summer sun! It's another beautiful design from the British golf course architect Keith Preston who has also sculpted a few great tracks in Austria including the excellent Mieminger Plateau GC near Telfs, Tirol. With its hilly terrain, wide fairways, many biotopes, ponds, streams and doglegs, Urslautal demands an equally decent game and plenty of good putting. The friendly Clubhouse is well appointed without being flashy. There's a good kitchen and plenty of cold refreshing beer to forget the bad shots and celebrate the glorious ones!! We visit Forsthofalm a number of timers every year. Please note that this is the cabin in Saalfelden and not the one at Leogang. The views are just magic and Hilda is a very pleasant host. They don't serve your beer very cold but this is only a minor inconvenience. The cake and the platters they offer are great.
