This place is small, and if you visit in the winter the shoe removal step before entering the cafe may be a deal-breaker (you have to leave the shoes outside). The staff are friendly, and it's quaint. The tea and coffee are cheap and tasty.

Run by a group of locals who moved here to help with the recovery effort, this place was built by hand. The food is very tasty (try the curry). They brewed Apple Beer here using local apples. Try it. Also ask about the key chains sold at this store. The staff will be happy to share this amazing story. Buy several to take home (500 yen each). A bit of a drive but it's worth it. Absolutely.
