Itâs not often that you get a full afternoon of dining while watching grade II horses race. The buffet is tremendous with more items than one would think of. Starting off with a choice of two soups, a world class salad bar you will be ashamed to head for the all you can eat Alaska King Crab legs or the shrimp both fried and chilled raw. Then of course there is the cut to order pork loin or steamship beef or the garlic infused mussels or fried chicken or pasta. Vegetables are endless with steamed broccoli and collieflower,fresh green beans, succotash mashed potatoes, and letâs not forget the three tier twenty foot long desert bar that includes cheesecake, cakes, puddings and cobblers. If you go away hungry itâs because you didnât want to eat. Everything was the correct temperature and fresh. My server, Ali was friendly and very attentive. Great job to everyone here Wow! Went to lunch at the Bavarian yesterday. Had not been there for years. Beautifully renovated. Friendly staff. Salad very good. French Onion soup the "best I ever had" said my companion. Weiner schnitzel was good. Sauerbrauen was spectacular! s good as I remember. Dessert was disappointing. I ordered the German Chocolate cake based on the sample on the dessert tray. What arrived was something totally different. It was some sort of tart not at all what I expected. All in all it was a good meal. Recommendations: Bring bread sooner. We asked 3 times. Notice if there is a fork etc. missing. Had to ask for one. No offer of more iced tea and no automatic water refill without asking. Food is great but need more training.
