Really nothing special, just a good solid meal. The OJ was fantastic though. The "sunny patio" is very small and located very close to the bathroom and laundry, so it is not real fresh-air smelling. My server was quick and polite and the food came out quickly. Avocado on the menu is "avocado cream", not fresh avocado. Very easy to find, just up the hill a bit from the Central Plaza.
We've had breakfast here twice on our way to visit the Xocomil Water Park near Retalhuleu. Prices are reasonable, service is excellent, and the food is good. But what makes the kids want to keep returning is the large covered playground and the 4 story concrete slide system with a large curving concrete slide from each level.

This was my latest discovery in Quetzaltenango, a two floor coffee shop very near the central square, where you can enjoy a peaceful environment, with photos and paintings inspired in natural features. The menu is varied and offers delicious choices of sandwiches and pastries made with natural ingredients. This is a good place to read, to meet with friends, to have healthy food and drinks. Internet is free and young staff behind the bar are friendly and efficient. On weekends there is live music, presentations of new music records, books or exhibits. Rapidly becoming the trendy place to be in Xela.

Aquà Me Quedo has delivered on their promise to bring gourmet food out of the restaurant and into the your home. Not only are their menu options, customer service, and food quality on par with any high end restaurant, but they deliver the food directly to your family at your door. I have ordered food from Aquà Me Quedo on several occasions since they opened for service in late 2014. Each of the dishes that I have ordered was clearly prepared with care and an attention to detail that I have never seen in delivery service. I would recommend Aquà Me Quedo to families or individuals looking for delicious, in-home meals without the hassle of cooking.

cute cafe with lots of great old photos on the walls. the service was good. the "Bavarian" sausage sandwich with caramelized onion and cheese was good if you took the "sausage" out of it. The sausage was an American style hot dog. I tried asking for mostaza (mustard) but my server told me that it only came on the other kind of sausage sandwich.I also got a piece of carrot cake, it was pretty dry and tasted old.

This café is clearly popular and highly-rated but I'm afraid it didn't work for us. The first impression isn't welcoming: the place needs a good clean. Other than that the experience was somewhere between poor and average.

This is an elegant restaurant to enjoy a special ocassion or a business meeting meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I could say this is the best restaurant in Xela. It is a first class restaurant without a doubt. Food is exquisite! At breakfast you can enjoy at least ten options of meals, all delicious. Food presentation and quantity are perfect. Modern, with tables well set and everything neat. First class service. There is a breakfast buffet on Sundays, excellent too! Medium range prices. Highly recommended!

It is the idea of the family sitting around the table, the one that makes Chef Pablo Alvarado and his collaborators say, every day, "We We Fell For Serving You". Allow Tertulianos to please your senses.
Fancy restaurant in an unusual location, serving sophisticated, Europe-inspired food.Extremely friendly staff and unexpected atmosphere almost compensate the inconsistency of the menu: dishes are well-executed and ingredients are fresh, but sometimes you get the feeling some combinations are a bit of a long-shot (e.g., fish gratin).
