Rudi Koch who runs the restaurant with his wife Hilde is a kitchen artist. The dishes are not just delicious but the also often look like a piece of art. If you prefer traditional food you always find a few choices on the menu, while we love to try one of the new creations, if there is any. Always worth a visit.

Hiked to Ottensoos through hail and rain along the picturesque Pegnitz.. Rotes Haus had been recommended to me by a friend who was rather enthusiastic. Righfully so!The menu is enchanting, the prices are good and the servic is cordial. One can pass the (short) wait for comestibles by checking out the photo gallery or by choosing postcards to write to the unfortunate friends who were unable to share this adventure.After the meal do not miss the small and very yielding shop. Think souvenirs, think fashion, think... next christmas.!Have fun!

Wir haben vegan in der Nähe von Lauf gesucht und dieser Restaurant gefunden. Und wow, das war eine gute Entdeckung!Wenn man nicht direkt wissen wurde das alles Vegan ist, wurde es zum Teil nicht merken! Eine junge Familie betreibt dieser Restaurant. Alles ist selbst gemacht in die Küche, liebevoll eingerichtet und serviert. Und alles schmeckt super! Vorspeise, Hauptgericht, Nachspeise und Espresso, alles war perfekt. Und wer weisst was vegan aus Bioprodukte zum kochen kostet, wird das nicht mal teuer vorkommen- wirklich fair wenn man das Qualität hat.Der bester Seitan denn ich bis jetzt gegessen habe.Meine neueste Entdeckung der definitiv eine Weiterempfehlung ist!!!
