Impeccable service. Excellent food. I asked to see the Chateaubriand before cooking. They were embarrassed by the size of their langosta - lobster - at 250 grams (about 1/4 pound) - but we ate here several times - and were treated like royalty. Corkage is high for an inexpensive wine - but if you bring a bottle of Chateau Montelena - the 250 pesos is nothing. If your bottle is only 500 - 1000 pesos - elect their Santo Thomas Barbera.

Found this restaurant through Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. A short walk from the main street but difficult to find as poor signage and is on the second floor. We were shown the elevator by the security guard. Excellent view and atmosphere. Food and drinks were also excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Ciro's Skybar. The famous terrace of the Hotel Casablanca Grand, privileged for having one of the most spectacular views of the Acapulco bay. This mythical place throughout history was the scene of national and international films, such as "The Lady from
Acapulco has a terrific new addition to the dining scene. Ciro's Skybar is located in the old Casablanca hotel which is now condominiums and the restaurant is on the rooftop. 1st off let me say the view is unmatched I prefer it to anything located on the Scenic hwy it is that good. The service was attentive and friendly and slightly inexperienced as well but for a new restaurant they just need time. There is something for everyone and pricing very reasonable. My wife and I started with 2 ciro margaritas which were excellent so we had 2 more :)The guacamole is more Mexican style with a very nice kick to it but not overbearing at all we all shared 3 orders. We were a party of 8 btw. My wife had the Cesar salad a real one with anchovies and enjoyed it immensely and I ordered the Ciro's Enchiladas which were very good. Others in our party had shrimp dishes and pasta dishes my daughter and her bf had a steak and fettuccine alfredo and they loved it. We were pretty filled after that and did not get any dessert at all but all in all I would call this place a gem. A high end feel for a middle of the road price with the best atmosphere of anywhere in town. People in diamante will probably not want to make the drive to the Old/traditional section of Acapulco but they will be missing out. Anyone in Acapulco or planning to visit pencil this place in I hope they make it!!

So leaving this review, I saw the "pretentious and not good" review from April. This restaurant is exceedingly good - both in the food, and priced in line or cheaper than the other high end restaurants in Acapulco. And through several visits, this level of excellence has been consistent, so I don't understand the negativity. Our service, helmed by Candido and supported by Carlos and Yonathan, was attentive and well paced for a relaxing dinner. From tasty pre-dinner cocktails to an incredible dessert, all was top notch. Yes the food is presented artfully - that is the point of going someplace that is trying to impress on you the effort they are making. But it does more than look the part - the tastes were fresh, interesting and unique. The highlights were the ceviche verde starter, the asada negro and the dulce de leche desert. All went well with a bottle from a wine list that had enough to provide choice but not be voluminous. Between the spectacular view, the service and the food, this restaurant rates as high as I can give it and them some. I would tell any and all who want a special night out to go to Origen.Good afternoon dear RFNJ, It is a pleasure writing you from Encanto.Thank you very much for sharing your experience at Origen with other travelers. It is an honor for us receiving such good comments like yours. We hope your visit was pleasant and you enjoyed everything in your dinner. We hope to have you again in this your house in Acapulco and let us pamper you as you deserve.Thank you for being part of our family!Alfredo CortésRestaurants Manager

Tony's Bistro, is a romantic restaurant surrounded with art and complimented by the spectacular view of Acapulco Bay. Chef Erik Nguyen is the executive chef, he worked with Harrison Ford, John Malkovich and Catherine Deneuve. Through his storied career he
I had 40 people at Tonyâs Asian Bistro for my birthday on January 12.Tony was very cooperative. He arranged for a violinist for entertainment. He supervised the service throughout the event. My menu was delicious and very interesting. My main course was sea bass baked in salt. Everyone was very laudatory about it.I also offered filet of beef Rossini. The meal ended with a meringue Pavlova.I had raves from everyone on the dinner. All of this was enhanced by the gorgeous views of the Bay.

Carmenere is a very nice restaurant. Has no view but the atmosphere and the music are outstanding. The cuisine is international and has a wide wine list accesible for everybody. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. You won't regret co
We found Carmenere through a recommendation on trip advisor. Donât let the location (in a strip mall downtown) discourage you from sampling this marvelous local favorite. The room is warmly decorated with white table cloths and boasts an extensive wine list and features a well-rounded Italian-themed menu. From the celery cream soup amuse bouche to the entrées which consisted of chicken Parmesan and grilled octopus â all of the dishes were delicious and well executed. Overall an excellent dining choice for Acapulco it feels cozy, familiar and will provide a guaranteed a good meal.
