Things to do in Paranaque
Located in the Asiana near Solaire and Moa, East Ocean Palace is a very upscale Chinese restaurant, fantastic laureat food but very pricey. The parking is plentiful at the basement and cheap.(free for seniors). Decor and ambiance is classy, food are upscale and service is so good. Many private rooms available. Good for big groups. My favorite is lobster, steam fish, crab and abalone. Please note that the price here are much higher though.

Originally from Paranaque, the restaurant is now in Makati along Bolanos Street near the back MakatiMed. It serves fusion Korean and Japanese cuisine served in tiny portions. The ambiance is minimalist and at night the restaurant gives off a romantic chic vibe ideal for intimate chit chat. Menu is limited but the service is impeccable which somehow saves the day.
The ultimate grill and hotpot experience
Brought my Teachers to celebrate their birthdays here. The architectural ambiance was really great with high ceiling and beautiful layout. The unlimited hot pot that gives you plenty of soup to your hearts content, icecream, etc. What was lacking was the ample supply of shrimps and bread. Many types of sausages were being offered though. The price fluctuates. Since it was on a weekend, the price was higher at p700 plus per person. This place is definitely for groups of hearty eaters and birthday celebrators where they can eat for free.

I cannot be more succinct about this place than what is written in the restaurantsâ home page:âTito Chef Restaurant is the brainchild of Chef Menoy Gimenez and his culinary team. Fondly called "Tito Chef" by his nephew, Chef Menoy decided to name his neighborhood restaurant after that, set it downsouth Manila, complete with a culinary store, wine repository and an alternative art gallery. With a progressive bistro menu, there surely is something for everybody-- starters to share, generously portioned entrees, specialty pastas and delectable classic desserts. âWe found Tito Chef almost quite by accident. My wife and I were on our way to Tagaytay to be with our friend, but the SLEX traffic was so heavy that we decided to exit at Sucat. Once passed the toll gate, we were thinking of going to Casa Mia for an early dinner (this was around 630PM). The place was closed, so we made a U-turn and decided to go back home. However, as we were already near Presidentâs Road, we decided to venture in and look for a restaurant. We were going for another place when traffic hit us again and out of the window I saw the sign âWine and Swine.â I thought that this was most interesting and as I my wife was busy on the phone, I told the driver to pull over. This is how we got to Tito Chef. And we were not disappointed. The place itself is vibrant, well-lighted, tables are laid out with sprigs of pine leaves woven as a crown, as an accent. It gives one a "homey" atmosphere because the tables are strewn with books and magazines, just like in many homes. Even the toilets are very well appointed. The men's room has bottles of cologne and a bottle of mouthwash to boot. Very thoughtful of Tito Chef.As we wanted to start with an aperitif, we asked for a glass of the house's white wine. They didn't have one - no wine by the glass. A bit of a setback, but not a major one. Restaurants like this should be able to serve wine by the glass especially because in the case of Tito Chef the wines are not bad and very reasonably priced. They also have Australian, Californian, Italian, and some French wines. None of the wines are fancy, neither are they expensive. At the least the two we had were respectable and very well priced. On the other hand, I still think they should have house wines by the glass. We had the mushroom with truffle soup and the bacalao cream as starters. The soup had a strong truffle scent and flavor at just the right combination. Although a little on the bland side, the bacalao was okay especially for those who want to watch their blood pressure. For the main course I had the bouillabaisse stew while my wife had the pesto with grilled prawns. The prawns must have been very fresh or Tito Chef (Chef Menoy Gimenez) is just an excellent cook who can whip out the freshness from the prawns. The stew on the other hand was not too filling. It had the usual mussels, prawns and fish fillet, of course, but the flavor was well balanced. In theory, the stew should have the following ingredients: garlic, onions, tomatoes, olive oil, fennel, saffron, thyme, bay, and usually a bit of dried orange peel (according to Julia Child, the Chef). I couldn't tell the others but definitely Tito Chef used saffron as this was dominating the flavor. As for the fish base, I am not an expert so I could not tell.Over-all our experience was excellent. With Chef Menoy Gimenez giving his personal opinion on the choices for the dishes and wine, I couldn't complain about the service. The dishes came out promptly and the waiters were friendly, knowledgeable, and appeared clean and well groomed. As in many restaurants in tropical countries, the air conditioning blasts certain tables in the restaurant. If interior designers can only be more sensitive to this phenomenon, then patrons don't have to keep changing tables. And of course, I think a restaurant like Tito Chef should offer house wines by the glass. It's more friendly and, in my opinion, more profitable in the long run.

They served Malbec and their blended white wine (I forgot the grape) and they were splendid. They served a variety of cheeses and they were all divine. Service was great. The ambience was enchanting. The pork belly and beef viands were adequate. Will definitely come back.

Excited to see the menu offered in this branch of Vikings. For ordinary occasion this place is sufficient. For special ones, however, with 10++ guests, none can compare to Vikings MOA. For very special occasion with very special VIP friends and relatives, its NIU (either SM Aura or The Podium). Thank you Vikings for the experiences I had with your branches. Hope to be in one again in the near future.

Medley's ingeniously crafted menus and live cooking stations take center stage amid a distinctively upscale ambiance. Whether buffet or a la carte, its sensational selection of international flavors will excite the most demanding palate.
The interior is fancy, well lit, fun vibe! It offers an extensive array of dishes. I surely found all my favorite dishes. Medley has laksa, shrimp cooked in different ways, peking duck, Japanese dishes, Filipino, Arabic, Italian and so much more. The juice, soda and wine were all part of what we paid for. Specialty for the day was Milk Tea with bobba! The service was way much better than the other buffets in Manila. The servers were always ready and sensitive to the customers needs, particularly Marvin. He even offered to get juice for us, had shrimps cooked for us, korean beef. We were stuffed and very happy!
