Came for an early dinner, owner was great and able to talk us through the whole menu including highlighting where they were using locally sourced ingredients, overall the service was great, probably the best we've had in sicily.The meals arrived withing about twenty minutes from ordering and we're both excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked and the burger was great. Although individual components of the burger were good, the combination of bacon (slightly smoked), cheese and home-made patty and bun was even better.Overall only slightly more expensive than other places in Palermo but for much better quality food and service.

A really nice restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and a very pretty interior. Extensive food menu and wine list. I could not get in on the first visit (it was Valentines Day!) so booked for the the next day. Obviously worth booking.If you are staying at the Mercure Excelsior Hotel it is within walking distance.The service was also excellent.grazie

We went to charme yesterday for dinner. It was one of the best fish restaurants I have ever been. The cook is incredible good and the fish quality was over the top! Just a perfect dinner. I would highly recommend charme and chapeaux to that besides his formidable cooking so simpatico chef!!

When you are in Palermo, make sure you visit this little authentic open-kitchen and delicious restaurant! Le dop was an amazing experience for us. The food was excellent, we had absolutely no idea what we had ordered (we can't read or speak a word italian) but we let them surprise us and the one dish was even better than the other!! The staff was so sincere and friendly and the prices made you feel like you end up eating for free. One warning: if you visit this restaurant the first day you are in Palermo, you won't see much more of the rest of the city ;) Rutger &Willemijn
