Östersund (pronounced [œstɛˈʂɵnd] ( listen); Southern Sami: Staare) is an urban area (city) in Jämtland in the middle of Sweden. It is the seat of Östersund Municipality and the capital of Jämtland County. Östersund is located at the shores of Sweden's fifth largest lake, Storsjön, opposite the island Frösön, and is the only city in Jämtland. Östersund is the region's cultural and economical centre and by tradition a city of trade and commerce. Östersund had one of the most extensive garrisons in Sweden prior to its closure in the early-21st century. The city is the Mid Sweden University's largest campus site with approximately 7,000 students. With a total population of 44,327 (2010) Östersund is the 22nd most populous city in Sweden, the 46th most populous city in Scandinavia, and by far the largest inland city in Northern Sweden.

Beläget inte allt för sexigt i ett industriområde serveras du utmärkt thaimat!Miljön är klassisk lunchhak, men vänlig och hjälpsam personal.Buffé med ett antal schyssta rätter, salladsbuffe kaffe och dessert ingår. Många från de intilliggande företagen som köper lunchlådor.

The place is clean enough and staff friendly, but they mess up special orders. Vegetarian options are not thought-through (just regular burgers with the meat replaced), fries are a bit bland, and prices higher than their (lack of) quality justify.

Det här är bra! Riktigt bra till och med. Spännande vinlista och träffsäkra rekommendationer av den kunniga och trevliga personalen. DÃ¥ det mesta finns glasvis och är frÃ¥n mindre otippade producenter/länder sÃ¥ kan man verkligen testa nytt. Maten är dessutom utmärkt och âvinvänligâLäget är bra med enorma glasrutor ut mot torget som gjort för att sitta och underhÃ¥llas.Besök!!

Not much to say, the maitre d', and from what I've learned later also the owner, was so arrogant and unhelpful that we actually left. Will never set foot in that place again.

I donât know how to describe this socalled restaurant. The food was ok, the circus-setting was cool, but the feeling of being at a fastfoodburgerplace was not that cool. Except that the food was not fast... When you have to dowload the app, then order your food in the app, then pick up your beverages and your food by yourself. Ending it by paying in the app being asked of I want to add a tip, I somehow rest my case...Thanks, but no thanks...

We have visited Athena many times since 1977 ! Very good pizza - wide selection - not expensive. Also wide selection of meat and fish - "normal" prices for Ãstersund. Restaurant run by a greek-swedish family. Good and friendly service. We will certainly eat there again the next time we visit Ãstersund.

What a pleasant find. The decoration and atmosphere are quite cosy, the staff is friendly and the food (Cowboy Chili) was the best thing I've eaten all month, Amazing!
