We ended up here as we were very hungry and this restaurant had a good rating in tripadvisor. Considering that, we were a little dissapointed, although the service was very very friendly and helpful, but the food was not what we expected. One was a little tasteless and the meat was not the best quality (tough).

Weâve liked the amuse-bouche: very fine goat cheese with truffles!The starters have been extremely tasty: - a âspecial kind of saladâ: Great Glen Venison and Green Peppercorn Salami, with a Mesclun Salad, Srathdon Blue Cheese, Apple and Quince Dressing and toasted Haggis bread Croutons.-âPotted Rabbitâ: A confit of Rabbit served with a Carrot Salad, Cornichons, and Orkney Dark Island Sourdough toast- Duck Leg Pithivier: Slow cooked Duck leg Pancetta Duck Liver with Ceps in glazed Puff Pastry served with a Red Wine JusAs a main we all liked the âDuo of Highland Lambâ: Pan fried Rump and Crispy Lamb Shoulder served with tender stem Broccoli, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, Creamed Polenta, Salsa Verde and a Lamb Jus.The wine list is interesting: Go for the white New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and the red Australian Shiraz/Cabernet.

I gave this place an average score based purely on the bar downstairs. The restaurant on the other hand was quite poorly organised. Firstly we waited around 15/20 mins for our order to be taken then when it arrived it was poorly presented and a very small portion, the food was tasteless and even though I left practically a full plate I wasn't even asked if there was anything wrong with my food. Don't think I'll be back.
