Restaurant Apostelstube is a tiny gourmet restaurant under the guidance of chef Mathias Bachmann under the roof of the old Hotel-Restaurant Elephant in Brixen (Italy). 4 tables only, but a cosy, very well-designed place that offers a remarkable dining experience. They serve complete menus only, no à la carte. The kitchen is full of positive surprises, clear and precise, high product quality paired with oustanding and personal service mentality. Not to forget a classy wine selection with a lot of local wines, too. Definitely a place to go when travelling in Alto Adige! Do not forget to make a reservation before!

The food is average. It is good, absolutely nothing to say, but rather normal for a Hutte in South Tyrol. What makes this place special is the panorama. It's like a terrace on the Dolomites...something absolutely fantastic. If possible try to find a table on the first row of the terrace...the view is great and the lunch unforgettable.The restaurant has also a very nice playground for the kids

I have travelled alot, visiting places, eating/dining in so many restaurant, can't even count.....this restaurant with the staff, wow..bad..really bad!The staff where lying and disrespectful...we had to wait for our pizza almost an hour and the waiter still not telling the truth..wait 10 more min and so on..talked to 3 different staff member who would check it out but they went behind the bar and never came back with an answer.Got a hold of some kind of manager..wonderful man, the waiter has forgotten our order! We didn't have to pay...but still we'll never go back!

All was to our satisfaction we can say that Renata, the bistro managing, makes the difference. she welcome the clients in a very friendly way. The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. We had Risotto with pfifferling and carpaccio con zucchine all'agro dolce. All was fine and in an elegant way served. The price are very fair and the quality is very high.good value for money

Nice and elegant restaurant, but in a dark location on the side outside of the freeway. Food is well prepared, very rich and at the end of good quality. They lack of service: we asked for two glasses of wine (a Sauvignon Blank and a Pinot Noir) and they did not show the bottle or at least say the name of the producers. The waiters do not talk and do not describe the dishes so you risk to receive a bad surprise: that is what happened when we ordered a desert that was supposed to be balls of ricotta filled with gianduia chocolate on a bed of vanilla cream: we expected a nice, cold desert after a rich menu to refresh our mouths and came out to be a warm desert not appealing at all that we did not eat. We said the waiter our disappointment and he answered just that the desert is what it is, without offering any apology or proposing a different desert. We asked information about another desert and he said nothing else but the name written in the menu. This is disappointing. Too bed because we enjoyed the first time here, but not this one, and we are very sorryâ¦..

Getting charged â¬1 for a glass of tap water??? Thatâs after my friend and I ordered 2 glasses of prosecco, a quarter of red wine and 2 delicious but very salty pizzas. Greed has gone too far in the sleepy town of Brixen :(

We had good time in this elegant restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the clients need. They give gut suggestion for combining food and wine. We suggest to test meat , special "fiorentina" very goof meat . Lidia waitress in restaurant is very friendly and professional she is the best. This restaurant is a great place if you have smaller children. There's a special section where they sit families that has a really elaborate play room. My daughter loved it and spent almost all of the time playing there with other little kids. The food is also good and reasonably priced. This is really a local place rather than one catering to tourists so your pocketbook will be happy about that. The pizzas are excellent and the local specialties they serve are also very good..
