We had been in japan for over a week and only eating japanese (though it were amazing), and i was going to Hong KOng the next day. We went to this Scandinavian reaturant, and it was AMAZING. They had ryebread and knækbrød with butter, and all the courses where beautifully arranged and very authentic. It really felt like it we where in a fancy restaurant in Copenhagen. I got a steak marinated in beer, and without exaggerate: it was the most tender and delicious steak ive EVER tasted. It sounds wierd to say it when your'e from scandinavia: but go to Tokyo to taste amazing scandinavian food!

We walked by this location everyday for two months and never noticed it was a restaurant. We dropped in for lunch. My wife ordered the grilled fish and I had the egg pancake. Everything is in Japanese (no Englush) but don't let that deter you. It appears to be a family business. An old Japanese gentleman does the cooking supported by his equally old wife. A Japanese man(perhaps their son) takes the orders. The staff are polite and helpful and the food is really good authentic home cooked Japanese. We were shocked at how low the cost was for the meals. We will be going back again
We went a bit ahead in Mikata to visit the Ghibli museum and were looking for a place to eat. Very discreet but charming little restaurant. Only 8 persons can be accommodated but it contributes to the experience. The cook and her wife are extremely kind and cooking right in front of you. Delightful time there !

Very popular "Gyukatsu" (beef cutlet) restaurant that now runs 6 branches in Tokyo (as of October 2016). Note that Shibuya branches are always very crowded and you should expect to wait for an hour or so, I'd suggest you get there 30-60 minutes prior or g
They serve only one type of dish-beef katsu that comes with several sides , rice and red miso soup. The meet comes rare, if you prefer more done, you can do it yourself on the provided fireplace. The food was great! Be aware it is 8 seater place,so you might wait for your turn.Just be patient ,it worth your time. Also, for non japanese speakers, it is easy to miss the place . however, they do have English menu.

Great breakfast buffet. Some American food and Local food. I friendly staff. Excellent choices of beverages available. Cannot comment on lunch or dinner as I did not eat there for those meals, however they always had a good crowd of people eating..
