After some research, they realized that though there were a lot of restaurants in Alhaurin El Grande, there were only two ethnic types of restaurants. And so they decided to open a Moroccan restaurant where the guests not only came to eat, but also to exp
We visited Almadina on holiday 2 years ago and had a great meal. So we returned again this year and we werenât disappointed. The owner is so friendly and welcoming, probably more than any restaurant that we have visited in last and this years holiday. The food is fresh, homemade and all the dishes especially the Moroccan are so very tasty. Gorgeous warm flatbread has such a lovely flavour. The prawn tomato pilpil in my opinion is the best Iâve had in Spain! The spices used and prunes in the lamb tagine are so balanced, just try it! My husband had filo parcels to start and fajitas, which he really enjoyed. They cater well for kids too! Pizza and fries for my son and spaghetti bolognaise with garlic bread for my daughter. We shared a round of drinks and a bottle of wine. All this and the bill was around â¬80, so reasonable! Go and enjoy a lovely meal in this friendly family run restaurant!

International Tapas Served Daily. Fish and Chip Fridays with Live Music. Traditional Sunday Roasts. Bistro Menu Coming Very Soon!
I canât believe Iâm writing an average review after all the amazing comments listed for the Ginger Pig, however, with high expectations we visited this place. Pleasant seating area outside, great for relaxing and admiring the views. The owner was very welcoming, chatty and friendly. It was a hot day so my group of friends decided to eat in. We were served by a young gentlemen, less than friendly and generally couldnât be bothered. We were told about the meals on the menu that were unavailable that day, and all I can say is, that what was eaten was very mediocre. The mussels was tasty, the three bean hot pot, bland. The side salad was dry, no dressing, mainly chopped lettuce with a few pieces of onion and two small pieces of pepper. Lack of attention in the ladies bathroom, it appeared clean, but no toilet paper in the dispenser, only two empty rolls. I went into the restaurant to see if I could find a napkin, but none in sight. Would I come here again? Maybe for the live music and a drink, but not to eat.

To relax, laugh and have a good time. To eat and drink in good company. To share some tapas with friends or to enjoy a romantic meal with your loved one. An oasis away from the bustle of the coast, but only a minute from the La Cañada shopping mall. Come
Very high ratings on Trip Advisor are totally deserved. We had an unusual request....birthday lunch for 16. We ordered a birthday cake and flowers as well as the usual stuff.Joy (who communicated with us to plan details by email) was excellent - both responsive and flexible on menu. So that was ahead of actual visit.Visit itself was excellent - the wait staff were friendly and efficient, the chef? (Dutch gentleman) was very friendly also. And the food was very good - particularly the starters ....beef carpaccio and goats cheese salad were both top notch. Finally the atmosphere is nice also with inside and outside spaces (outside under shade).A really good experience overall. Would highly recommend for special events but also weâd recommend visit for a more âstandardâ type lunch or dinner. Food and service Iâm sure would be same high quality.First of all many thanks for choosing Cascada Cocina & Bar to celebrate this very special occasion. Great to hear that you have had such a great time and that you enjoyed the setting as well as the service and the food so much. Reviews like this are very rewarding and motivate us to keep going. We hope we can be a witness of many more birthdays to come for your lovely mum! We cannot wait to welcoming you back again.

If you are holidaying in Marbs and fancy getting away from the touristy places in search of a much more authentic Spanish vibe, then head to the hills and the quaint white-walled town of Ojen, where you will find this nice haven awaiting you at the end of a 20-minute car journey.Although there are some outside tables adjacent to the sloping road (if you park your car some distance away, be ready to do some strenuous uphill walking which can be tough on legs and heart!), as we were booked for 21.30, we opted to dine inside.Wooden tables and chairs, with books stacked on shelves, added to the cosy ambience. It was nice and encouraging to see a couple of large groups of Spanish families - three generations in both cases - eating and enjoying themselves at nearby tables. We noticed that one group of 8 shared 5 pizzas between them - a real family spirit about the place. The waiter spoke good English, while both he and his young female colleague were as warm and friendly as our pil pil prawns starter. For mains, we had fillet of veal and Iberian pork.An atmospheric, value for money (cheapest meal of our two-week holiday) experience in a lovely setting.

Santiago's Kitchen is located in the heart of the old town in a sympathetically restored townhouse with an elegant dining room & beautiful courtyard garden surrounded by orange trees for warm summer evenings. Serving modern rustic cuisine with a focus on

We are a bar & restaurant serving great value delicious food. We serve both South African, British & International dishes.
We stopped off for lunch having driven past on many occasions. Easy parking, good welcome albeit in English, shown to a table on the terrace and ordered a drink again all in English. We were surprised about this. We decided to have the menu of the day for 12â¬. We chose the mackerel salad to start and beef stew for main cooked in a small traditional pot called a Potjie. Just a few things missing, no bread with the meal but when we asked they provided it, no oil and vinegar but again was provided in small dishes and no olives on the table. I only mention this because if you go into any Spanish restaurant thatâs normally what they provide. The service was good and the staff friendly but we were a bit disappointed that it is all very English. The meals were very tasty and we both enjoyed the food very much.
La Bodega is a bar / cafe / restaurant with inside and outside seating, plus a chill out roof terrace. We offer Spanish breakfasts, varied tapas daily throughout the day and evening, then international food at the weekends.
What a delightful couple Matt and Nina are. Welcomed with a northern English Scandinavian warmth, served great home made tapas and mains, plus a good range of drinks. Our evenings were fun from start to finish, very much enhanced by Matt and Nina's bonhomie. Thanks for such a good time.

Been here 3 times the last three years and the food has been great every time. Thereâs always a lot of people there so might be good to book a table in advance. They have a really good Sangria as well. Gracias por contar con nosotros, su satisfaccion es nuestra satisfaccion, esperamos verles pronto de vuelta por esta su casa. Un saludo
We have a quite cozy and family restaurant. That I offer you meals from recipes from Grandma, to molecular cuisine, such as smoked in campaign, gelling, foams, esterification, and more. We hope you
After our third visit since Javi began we are very impressed with the food and standard of this restaurant. The pate is delicious as is the duck magret. Also the oxtail and the lamb chops. The meals are beautifully presented and the service is friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Only open on Fri. Sat. Sun. Thank you

Just 15 minutes from Marbella, Castillo de Monda offers great views over the Andalucian country side. Find yourself a spot on the spacious terrace, an intimate corner of the tropical roof garden or have a drink with tapas at the bar. Enjoy a coffee or a g
Having lived around the area for 10 years, and written many positive restaurant trip advisor restaurant reviews, we wanted to return to Monda castle to positively review the changes. It started well. Great welcome. Perfect location. Service attentive. Sadly we left disappointed. Our meals were poor and we left feeling insulted by the attitude of the waiter / manager. We ordered the â¬55 sharing chuleton de vaca steak. It arrived looking plentiful and piled with asparagus. On cutting into the steak it was evident it was mostly fat and inedible. (Judge the quality for yourself - the picture is attached) We told the waiter, who was also the manager (the English one) and rather than apologising and offering to replace or refund the steak he was very defensive, accusing us of eating most of the steak and leaving the fat before bringing him over and raising our complaint! He also said he warned us it was fatty. He only said it was the best steak, full of flavour and âlightlyâ marbled, but not that it would be 80% fat - as you can see from the photo!! After 10 mins of further argument where he still refused to bring another steak or refund our money, bizarrely he then admitted that other customers had complained about the fat too and offered us a free Dessert!! Small compensation for â¬55 and missing out on a main course! The other meal was monkfish and lobster stew. 2 pieces of monkfish and two tiny pieces of meat from the claw. Tasty but not worth â¬27. We all left hungry and dissatisfied and went to another restaurant for dessert and coffee. It could have been such a different and dare I say it potential for a positive customer experience. The evening was ruined by the portions, substandard overpriced food and argumentative attitude of the manager. Bizarrely as we were leaving the manager realised he handled the situation badly, put his hands in the prayer position and said âsorryâ. Too late. Lost our business forever. You have been warned. Such a shame. Poor service from management who canât accept customer criticism. We shall certainly let our community know to avoid this overly priced restaurant should they also be unfortunate enough to meet this manager and be dissatisfied with their order.Dear nikkih298, Thank you for sharing your experiences at our restaurant. It saddens us to read you have had such a bad time and want to apologize for the disappointment. It is our goal to please all our guests and we go through lengths to make sure everyone enjoys themselves when visiting our castle and leaves as a happy and returning guest. I'm very sorry in your case this hasn't worked out.Your story reads like a horror one and we like to take the opportunity to share with you our side of the story. (My apologies to the Vegans and Vegetarians among us for the following detailed explanation about large cuts of meat)When Matthew took your order, he explained that the cut of meat you picked really is a connoisseur's one (weighing about 1kg of which about 20% is fatty and also has a piece of bone), it is much appreciated by meat lovers, because the fat and bone add to the taste and tenderness of the meat, but not so much by someone who isn't a fan of this type of meal. Hence he asked you if you were sure about taking it and also suggested the more friendly chateaubriand (fillet steak) which you also find on our menu. Five minutes after serving the steak he approached your table and asked you if you were enjoying your meal. You said you were. When you had finished eating (it's normal one doesn't eat all the fatty bits (however some do)) you told us you were disappointed and refused to pay for the meal. Matt expressed his surprise and remarked that he explained to you the characteristics of the meat beforehand and asked you why you hadn't told him when he came over to check on you. Is this the part which you interpreted as him being rude? What you refrain to mention is that he did feel sorry for you and that he asked the kitchen to prepare for you a smaller version of the chateaubriand which is on our menu in order for you to try the difference (this obviously free of charge). He also offered desserts on the house in a final attempt to settle the mood.We do feel sorry about this occurrence and truly regret that despite all, you haven't enjoyed your time with us. The vast majority of our guests is very happy with their experiences at our hotel and we'd love to be able to show you that we really aren't all that bad. If you ever change your mind about visiting us another time for a second opinion, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] and we would be very happy to accomodate you.
