Stumbled upon this establishment after dinner. A wonderful experience - very good wine selection by the glass (traveling for work by myself - unfortunately). Attentive staff - wonderful atmosphere.Only problem was I had eaten already - but having a sneaky look at meals on other tables... they look good.Next time Iâm in Manila, this will be my first dinner and drinks stop.

The food at Lola Mariaâs will remind you of home. After spending a long time in the Visayas, the taste of traditional Luzon cooking in this restaurant has me going crazy! Their Kare-Kare was scrumptious and will probably be my favorite. Other treats that I loved were their crispy kangkong, their salad options which include traditional vegetables such as okra and talbos ng kamote which you can smother with bagoong. Their dessert bar had options to make halo-halo, and the kakanins were particularly delectable. Will definitely consider bringing my family here cause I have only eaten in this place because of work.

An elevated dining experience
We recently celebrated a family birthday party for 20 guests. Price wise, Niu is great value. Compared to hotels, this is more affordable and offers a wide selection of better dishes compared to other non-hotel-based restaurants (rock lobster is available upon request). The ambiance is also more elegant, which is great for dressier occasions. A lot of servers go around so any call is promptly answered. So, why is the rating not a 5? Despite the many hits, Niu lacks a stand-out dish that can identify the resto. It has good variety but none would make you want to go back again soon -- from salad to rice, seafood, carving, drinks and sweets/fruits

A typical Sunday catch-up with siblings, servings here are for 2 to 3 people. When ordering make sure to clarify how big the servings are. The serving staff are service-oriented and good-looking too! If you are looking for a Filipino-Spanish inspired dishes, this is the place to be.

Dad's restaurant is great on Weekday lunch when their prices are at its cheapest and you eat free on your birthday just bring someone paying. I like their Japanese section, presentation and preparation are good and authentic. Desserts and drinks are included in the buffet and you can always choose to have Filipino, American and other Asian food options. There are lots of options to choose from. We always keep on coming back but i recommend you come an hour early or make a reservation it can get crowded.
