Find out what International restaurants to try in Luxor. The Luxor in Las Vegas is to the actual CITY of Luxor, Egypt, as marshmallow fluff is to fois gras. (We’re sure you knew that. We just enjoy analogies.) Sure, the hotel/casino in Vegas might have a beam of light visible from space, but we bet you'll find a hot-air balloon ride over the Valley of Kings much more illuminating. (Editor's note: Our list was compiled before political unrest prompted many countries to issue travel warnings for Egypt. If you're currently planning a trip to Egypt, please consider the risks and monitor your government's travel alerts.)

There's a shady outdoor terrace overlooking the temple as well as an indoor dining room. The menu is unsophisticated but the food we ordered (onion tart and meat-free moussaka) came piping hot - unusual for Egypt - and was clearly freshly made. There were lots of other vegetarian dishes too. This is a good place for a light lunch or a home-made lemonade when you need a sit-down in the shade after a hard morning's visiting temples and tombs, and the loos are good.

It's few blocks down South or The Luxor Temples off Mohamed Ferid Street. and not far from the Oasis Hotel.
Expecting this place to be as good as last time but we were disappointed. Soup OK, bread cold, salad nice. Ordered 2 chicken dishes but only one came, meant that I was in trouble with my partner all evening as he had a sugar dip. No way we can go back after that. Not a good day to go as there was little by way of atmosphere. Cheap all the same
Situated at the Steigenberger Nile Palace Hotel in Luxor, an authentic Thai restaurant, where Thai Chef Umar will welcome the guests and prepare a culinary adventure. Enjoy your dinner inside a beautiful, air-conditioned setting or at the terrace with spe
I visited this restaurant several times during my visit I was so impressed after my first time I just had to return. Itâs in a beautiful setting overlooking the magnificent Nile. The food here is superb cooked by an enthusiastic Thai chef, beautifully presented an served with a comprehensive menu of dishes. The restaurant manager Mr Ahmed is a quiet knowledgable man who will take his time to explain and recommend the dishes on offer. One one occasion I took two friends who where staying in another hotel and they loved it too. I can not recommend this lovely restaurant highly enough. Itâs situated across from the bar area in the hotel, after your meal I recommend the bar terrace for a coffee or long cold drink to relax and unwind with stunning views of the Nile. Dear eila486,Thank you very much for choosing to enjoy several evenings at the Thai Restaurant of Steigenberger Nile Palace. We are delighted to know that you have become a regular guest and you thoroughly enjoyed the menu, the service, the taste and presentation of the dishes. We thank you for your warm recommendation and hope to see you again soon. With best regards,Amina Saady van BaarsenGuest Relation Manager
We were a group of 15 and everyone enjoyed their meals: burgers and/or pizza. Yes, it is different but the ketchup/(tomato sauce for the Aussies and New Zealanders) was familiar. As with all my experiences in dining in Egypt, donât go hungry...but an hour before youâll be hungry. Cold beer, good wifi. Nice ambience.
Cafeteria/Restaurant serving freshly-prepared food and drinks throughout the day, a couple of minutes from Medinet Habu temple to the west.
We have eaten here several times. The view is simply magical as it is right across from Habu Temple of Ramses III. The food is good, as is the service. The inside and outside dining areas as well as the bathroom are all very clean and comfortable.Thank you. Did you also try the view from our roof-top terrace? It is even better! And the small temple of Thoth (Kasr Aguz) is just round the corner.

Our Restaurant Maxime was created in 1995 by Sara (French) and her husband Mahmoud (Egyptian). We have 2 floors : 1st non-smoking - 2nd smoking allowed - after your diner you can enjoy our coffee-shop EL SALTANA connected to Maxime
Went here two times. The owner of the restaurant has a menu of 3 courses for 130El. Which is good price. The food is very good. The second time we sat in the garden of the new (1 month) el Santana café. Beautifully decorated, with good prices. The have fresh juices and the best fruit salad! The Guy's really try to make this place work. Arabic lounge music and waterpipe makes it a real happening. It even has WiFi! Unpresesented in Egypt as far as we have seen, beside the hotels.

We only had breakfast here...and while it was very good...it was not great. Compared to some of the breakfast spreads that you get in other luxury hotels it was a little underwhelming. Most of the food that I had over the 3 days that we were there was good...just not great.Dear Valued Guest, Greetings from Hilton Luxor Resort & SpaThank you very much for choosing to stay at Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa and for taking the time to write down your comment on TripAdvisor site.
