Our restaurant welcomes you on a food tasting journey based on the flavours of Mediterranean cuisine, using our own fresh vegetables, herbs and olive oil combined with local products of Kefalonia.
I visited here with my family for our last night of our holiday, going by other reviews I thought this was going to be a perfect finale to the holiday. I was very disappointed, myself and my son both had beef dishes, I had beef greek style, beef was very tough and chewy (same in my sons) and the veg was like it was straight out of a bag from a supermarket freezer section. At the end of the meal we showed the waiter a 10% discount coupon when asking for the bill, to which he acknowledged, yet when he brought us the bill this was not applied, we had to call him back to amend it.I felt very let down by this visit.

For the second year running we were welcomed back to Tanuâs by the friendly staff. They catered for all our culinary needs (the fresh fish was a highlight) and provided a range of lovely local wines. We ate there on four consecutive nights and danced to Zorba the Greek on the last night! The family also love football and they allowed us to watch Manchester United on their big screen until midnight, even though everyone else had left!

This is a review of the Sirtaki secret garden. The restaurant itself is a wonderful oasis of calm just off the street, down some steps it seems a world away from the road. God mood lighting and wispy drapes in the olive trees create a nice relaxed atmosphere. We were welcomed in by a UK girl host and seated quickly.Drinks ordered and food ordered after and all seemed good. I had odered a starter but my partner did not, so the waitress specifically asked if it was a starter or if all were to come together. We said starter and main to arrive separately please. After a longish wait the starter and mains arrived together! The waitress was very apologetic and admitted it was her fault but I now had to rush the starter and go straight into my main in one go, which spoilt the meal somewhat.During this time we watched some other guest being offered the wrong meals and drinks so service was a little mixed up?At the end of the meal I requested that in recompense for this that just one of my beers be knocked off the bill, this was greeted with hostility and the managers opinion sought. The waitress we overheard swearing about us so not very professional.Eventually she returned and refused to reduce the bill as we had eaten the food and drunk the drinks so they believed it was OK. I pointed out that them arguing over a small reduction was even worse that messing up the meal but they still refused to do anything. As such I said fine we would pay it but we were not happy, so she stomped off saying she would take a beer off after all.The meal itself was nice, so we are not running the restaurant down, and the waitress was very attentive, it's just a shame they mesed up and then did not have the good grace to accept the error and why we felt the need for a small adjustment in the bill to reflect this.In the past we have had errors in meals and the establishments have offered whole drinks bills for free (so we gave a massive tip to cover the shortfall) as it's not the money but the principle that counts. We would have gone back for another meal, but not now.
