Irish,European, Modern Cuisine. Vegan, gluten-free & vegetarian friendly.Serving breakfast, lunch and evening meal.
We had a beautiful evening meal on Saturday 19th October. Nicola greeted us on arrival with a great smile and enthusiasm and seated us upstairs. The menu was varied and all dishes sounded delicious. We both went for Brie starters, the bacon chop and chicken satay dishes for main dishes followed by creek brûlée and pavlova for pudding. Would definitely recommend a visit here, excellent food, attentive manager who catered for my fish allergy and a great upbeat atmosphere. We will definitely be back very soon !

I was introduced to G&B's by a friend who lives just up the road from it. Living on his own, he is a regular there and I can so easily understand why! The food is freshly made, well presented and portions are not skimpy. I enjoy their paninis which are generously filled with one's choice from the menu. They are served with a side-salad and a small portion of home made chips. If you are interested, just check out their website for more options. The sweets are really good, as are the scones. Parking is just outside the door - very convenient. Each time I have been there I notice it is frequented by the same people which suggests client satisfaction. The decor is modern and pictures by local artists are on display. Classy yet inexpensive.

...but unfortunately, this didn't change my mind. Can't fault the staff, but the food....let's say you'd probably get better, even at the Linen House down the road (another franchise). Nice clean bright premises, with ample free parking - popular with families. Maybe I should have chosen something other than the steak, which was tough as old boots - not the best cut & a real challenge for my molars. The wine isn't cheap either. They would need to fix the seating as well, as the woman sat behind me - I don't know what she was doing - but every time she jumped about in her seat, it jolted me. We tried it out ourselves after she left & same thing - the seat is loose & needs fixed.

Venue and set up of restaurant is very lovely but think the food was a bit too heavy. I ordered the cordon bleu. Was a massive chicken breast with green beans that were smothered in butter, definitely too much butter. Another person in the party also said his scampi monkfish batter was also very heavy. I've only eaten here a few times and every time I wanted to like the food more than I did. Otherwise the decor is really lovely a x service was grand.
