Living in Alkenrath we are really lucky to have an authentic Greek restaurant on our doorstep - easily within walking distance to our home. This is particulalry useful as we often get so wrapped up in the food and drink ( particularly the Imiglkos Greek house red wine and shots of ice cold ouzo) that driving is completely out of the question. We are always warmly welcomed by the extended greek family from Drama who run the place. They offer all the authentic Greek cuisine - I like the little squid, tzatziki and the dishes with liver. But they really do offer an extensive and impressive menu.

It should be authentic, that's what we thought and we have brought our " Casa Portuguesa " a piece of Lisbon to Leverkusen . Mother and daughter have successfully operated the restaurant "FachWerk" , but we wanted to adapt space and Culinary more Portugue
I've been at Casa Portuguesa with a friend of mine and I've to say that being Portuguese, this was definitively the cosiest decor of a Portuguese restaurant that I ever seen in Germany. Nice ambiance and soft environment with chili music. Although there's a little problem... being this place a restaurant I was expecting food to be acceptable but it was a complete disgrace. All ancient Portuguese cookers would be rolling in their graves if they would try the food in this restaurant.. this food can be something but not Portuguese one. That's an unfortunate attempt... only!If you don't know what's Portuguese food, don't go to this restaurant because you will end up hating it until the end of your life. Not even a single piece of the meal was fresh. All food is pre-cooked...

Situated in âBayer cityâ (the huge area of Bayer, the pharmaceutical company), the restaurant is also open for non Bayer employees. Really nice service, affordable prices, decent food and, if you only have little time and you let them know, they advice on which dishes to take and which not to take. Bread gets served upfront with nice cheese and olive oil...really really nice experience.

The service is slow, I had dinner there once and decided not to go there again. Since my colleagues and I stayed at the hotel for over 2 weeks, and it was cold outside, they did have dinner there twice more and I joined them towards the end to keep company. It took 45 minutes for their dinner to be served. The food was good though.Dear Guest, thank you very much for your review. Kind regards, Monja Lorre / Revenue Manager
