A modern Hotel in a great location on the River Shannon.Lovely views from the bar, open air deck and dining room looking west over the marina and surrounding countryside.Food served in the bar area is top class with a special recommendation for the Friday night steak offer...Steak and trimmings with your drink for 20 euro.There are very few locations on the river to beat this bar.It is big...modern...without giving you the feeling that you are in a barn.Music here some weekends with spotless rooms and apartments available.Super location for a wedding.Children's play area in the carpark.Dear Kieran, wow what an amazing descriptive review. The Lakeside Tavern is one of those rare pubs that also has a shop connected to it. I've visited this lovely little pub quite a few times as my Nanny is buried in the church grounds next door (sorry for the slightly morbid explanation). The staff are very friendly, and drink prices are quite reasonable.Review for August 2013.

Visited the steakhouse when moored over night in the village. A busy pub yet excellent service, we did not book but they still made sure to fit us in. Good menu selection of tasty food, perfect for families and responsibly priced. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly.
