We stopped in to the café due to its proximity to our hotel. They had a decent sized menu, and the food we ordered was tasty enough. We had the almond chicken, and the pork schnitzel. They had nice flavors, and decent prices.

For the past few years, 21st Amendment has been the choice hangout of my friends and I mainly because of its accessibility. Though quite pricey, their food is pleasant but never outstanding. On peak days/hours, it can get quite noisy and crowded inside the bar/resto which is why I prefer their outdoor seating. But this review is really for the very disappointing Caiperoska that I was given last night. My drink was too sweet to consume and I had to order a beer instead. Where most bars in their price range would offer to replace my drink, the bartender just smiled at my complaint. Although I usually get superb customer service at 21st Amendment, last night was really one for the books hence this review. So, if you are thinking of ordering their cocktails, think again. Stay clear of the Caiperoska.
Where to eat Asian food in Legazpi: The Best Restaurants and Bars
While staying at the St. Ellis hotel we wanted to try out the restaurant and had another very pleasant surprise. The restaurant is as lovely as the hotel and has extremely comfortable seats, especially the ones along the windows. They do invite to sit for a long time and enjoy the food.We had a interesting sounding started, prawns with creme fraiche and wasabi. Great presentation on a large glass plate. It was a bit like a cooked prawn tartar that was served on a wasabi sauce. We tried the Bicol Express and the pork belly Adobo. The food was exquisite, the pork belly was melting in the mouth. Being Adobo style it could have a little more vinegar, but that is a minor point. The presentation was great, even so not traditional. We had a salsa of salted eggs, tomatoes and onions on top and I have to admit, it was a wonderful combinationThe Bicol Express was a very rich dish, but again beautifully presented. It had just the right heat for my as usually this dish is extremely spicy, so I tremendously enjoyed the foodThe one downfall was that we ate in the middle of the afternoon, just after 3 PM, the food took a long time to come out of the kitchen, we waited for nearly one hour. The restaurant is open all day and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.Unfortunately some of the a la cart desserts were not available, the ones that sounded the nicest like the Churros or the pineapple Tart Tatin. The restaurant has a good choice of alcoholic beverages and is perfect for a nice afternoon with coffee and one of the lovely cakes from the display
