Kirchdorf in Tirol is a municipality in the Kitzbühel district in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 12.20 km north of Kitzbühel as well as 3 km north of Sankt Johann in Tirol at the Kitzbühler Ache. We stopped off for lunch before heading for Kitzbuehel. We had a lovely table by the window with the sun streaming in. The Schnitzel, Tyrollean platter, sausages etc. were all very good and we did not have room for dessert. The waiting staff were friendly and relaxed.

When I booked the hotel and even when we arrived I wasn't aware that they have Austria's chef of the year 2015!!!Wow were we surprised! Little irritating was that the menu had no prices. ..clearly an indication that we will have an expensive dinner.Nevertheless, food was exceptional and defineteley in the "star" area. Service was competent and friendly we had a great time and would recommend to visit this restaurant. Staying in Oberndorf we decided to venture over the bridge and explore the other side of the railway line. We found this restaurant by chance and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. As the name suggests the menu is based around variations of schnitzel combinations and you can choose pretty much how you want it to be prepared - choose your meat, coating, whether you want it stuffed and even the flavour of sauce. As a family of four there were plenty of options even vegetarian schnitzel and home made chicken nuggets for our less adventurous son.Newly opened within the last 4 weeks the owner has created a contemporary twist to a traditional Austrian meal, delivered in comfortable but stylish surroundings. We wish him all the best.

We (two adults and two children) have been to three different restaurants in these parts: this is our favorite. As the restaurant's name indicates you should try the trouts, but meat is also a good choice. Special meals for children. We had a nice evening and recommend the restaurant.

We happend to pass at lunch time and decided to have lunch in their garden. And we were not disappointet. Great food, fair prices and above all excellent service. Came here for our wedding reception/mealSuper efficient and friendly staff, great food and very reasonable price for table of 7.Came back a few days later and ate 2 burgers they were so good!Steak was also beautifully cooked.Nice selection of local beersWill return next year on our anniversary!

Beautiful location & terrace tables to enjoy the setting sun over the mountain views. Friendly, welcoming colleagues who spoke English beautifully with an English menu too. I had the most delicious pasta dish made with mountain / local mushrooms and cream. Ammmazing. We also enjoyed warm fresh apple strudel. Truly a wonderful restaurant and a great find. We hope to return and recommend it without hesitation.

This place looks a bit odd from the outside compared to other buildings in St Johann but skylounge is really worth a visit. We went twice, both times for a drink so canât comment on the food but it smelled good.Relaxed atmosphere and fabulous views. Thereâs an outside terrace and indoors you can see all round too. Huge drinks selection. Prices reasonable. Access is via a lift and there is a disabled loo too.
