We were there last November, just wanted to try some different from kebap cuisine. The service is immaculate, the owners are very pleasant people and the Polish food there is extremely delicious. We haven't tried anything else from their extensive menu, however they have pasta, kebap and few other dishes. The prices are perfectly fine. Today for 3 beers, 2x6 Pierogi and 1 plate of 4 Placki we paid 32 EUR.I totally recommend this place!

If you're the type that likes 'old fashioned German food' eg schnitzel with pommes and vegetables, and furniture that hasn't been replaced since the early '80, then you might want to consider. We were here for a birthday last year which is the only reason we stayed... In all honesty, the food wasn't bad. It's just not what we normally eat and like
We hebben hier lekker gegeten en de service was prima. De ober van dienst was iemand die zijn job duidelijk nog graag doet!Prijs kwaliteit zeker in orde.

We went here for Mother's Day and weren't aware of the fact that there was no a la carte, but just a special menu. The menu contained some fish dishes, which my mother doesn't eat. The chef was very good about it though and without any trouble suitable alternatives were found. All courses of the meal were well presented and delicious. It's a very small restaurant, so make sure you have a reservation!

We were visiting friends in Limburg who had been recommended this restaurant by a few of their friends. We decided to drive over the border and have dinner there on a Friday night. Immediately upon entering we were warmly greeted by the employees - including the cooks in the open kitchen close to the entrance. Without reservations we were promptly seated and greeted by our server. There were a number of posted specials - all sounding quite good and extremely reasonable prices. There is a salad bar from which you can choose various additions - including fresh sauerkraut. We were immediately served some absolutely delicious bread. The menu was extensively offering a variety of pasta, meats, fish. Cocktails were available - 4.50 for a large (very large) cocktail. We began with the soup of the day - a large bowl that could easily serve two of house made tomato soup. It was delicious and we had to stop ourselves lest we be too full to enjoy the entrees which, as it turns out, were extremely generous. . One friend chose the sauerbratin - one of her favorite dishes and was very pleased. Another had a steak - Argentinian beef cooked to med-rare perfection, accompanied by roasted potatoes and a selection of about 4 different vegetables. The steak came with a mushroom cream sauce - which also accompanied the schnitzel that my husband and I opted for. The large piece of schnitzel (perfectly done) came with a large serving of frites and the same mushroom cream sauce. The mushroom sauce was absolutely sublime loaded with fresh chunks of mushrooms. We agreed that we could easily have just had the bread and the mushroom sauce and been happy. One person opted for ice cream for desert - again enough for two people. All told the price for the four of us - 2 cocktails, 2 beers, 1 sodas, 3 soups, 1 steak, 1 sauerbratin, 2 schnitzels, bread and 1 desert came to just over 50 EU. A deal. We agreed that we would definitely return again. Highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. We had no booking but could still be seated on the terrace as it was not col. After some beef croquettes (bitterballen) as snack appetizer with our local beer we decided to go for the 2 services menu at a very good price of about 23â¬. We chose a beef tartare and crunchy tuna fish as starter. Both were very good. Then we had a beef "onglet" with root celery asparagus and mushrooms. Although the sauce was supposzd to be truffled the truffle taste was very discreet but the dish was excellently balanced in tastes. The chips were excellent but in very small quantity. We drank a local wine which was a good value for money (donersfeld). Bread and butter very tasty too! This was an excellent surprise in Heerlen!

I reserved the last table. Because I was travelling as a single mother with a small child who has dietary issues, the children's menue was not an option. So I made a deal to get the 4 course menu, thus that each of us could get 2 plates (e.g. entry to share, each a main meal and a dessert for the child). When we arrived there were two tables still free, both for two people. But the child was made to stand up from the table it wanted to sit and relocate to a clearly less good table. Ut was so upset, it took a while to make it happy again. Despite them having a children's menu, there were no activities for children (paper and paint),and since each meal was prepared individually, a wait of one hour per plate with nothing to do. There were 4 people serving, but they did not really check if you needed something, preparing for instance tables of people who had left for next day's lunch instead of checking that maybe you needed another drink. The food was good enough and very nicely presented, but it could have been better. E.g.a hamburger with fries for 19.90 whose meat was high quality but dry and where an additional request of an amount of 1 table spoon of mayonnaise to cover the amount of fries delivered was charged additionally. Most meals were stated as going to get a surcharge. I assumed these wete a few euro over the menu price, the way it was stated. But when the bill was presented, it had 73 euro on it, instead of the almost 40 that the 4 course meal had said. When I called the young woman to question who had made the original reservation and deal with me, I was told that this several course option only applied when receiving three or four options that were surprise meals decided by the chef, nothing you chose yourself from the menu that was presented to you when you sat down at the table, despite them knowing, and being told about the course arrangements you did previously.Nor was this mentioned at the time of the reservation. So basically you sit there counting on spending 50 Euro, drinks and tip included and get your budget blown with almost 100. To top it, they have this offer where you can purchase a stuffed dog for a discount if the child had a 3 course meal.Since the child shared my entry, had an adult main meal which is on the children's menue but more expensive in the adult version and finished with a dessert from the children's menu, I asked if I could get the stuffed dog. Despite paying a lot more for her meal, especially since it was not covered by the four course menu option + child dessert, I was told that no, I would have to pay full price (on the grounds that their cash machine can only get that in connection with the program of a full three course kid meal which is cheaper.) If you are a local if 60+ or a gyest to the hotel and want a tranquil meal with low noise and jazz and classic pop from the 40s to early 60s in the background, this is a good place. The juice was very good, despite being from the coca cola company and so was the wine.Vegetables were cooked just right and the combination of tastes very well balanced. The temperature of the meal was also perfect. The room was less spectacular than expected for a former noble's residence, but it was warm which was nice considering the rainy and chilly day. Another minus on my list in today's world: there were no gluten free or vegan options, though there was one vegetarian option both for apoetizer and main course. It is also not suitable for wheelchairs, as stairs lead up to tge entrance and the toilet is on the first floor over a creaky old wooden stairway (which is very beautifully preserved).
