On the way to Dinosaur Museum called in for lunch. Was excellent Japanese rural restaurant and food was excellent.Staff have very little English but as a Japanese speaker with us not a problem but would be if not.

While in Katsuyama I highly recommend this little restaurant for the local specialty of sauce katsudon. The breaded pork cutlet over rice with sauce specific to Fukui prefecture can't be beat.
