It is truly an experience to dine at Restaurant Taste!: entice your senses in an intimate setting and let our culinary hospitality surprise and treat you. Seasonal products form the basis for our dishes. Fresh from the grower, pure, delicious and honest.
This was an unexpected wonderful experience at Taste! The restaurant is indeed located at the same address as the Mercure Hotel but is not just a hotel restaurant. From start to finish this was one of the best restaurant experiences in the past year. The welcome, the choice of cocktails, and then Dinner (with a capital D)! We selected the 6 course surprise diner with wine pairing suggested by the sommelier Kees Verlaan. Even with a wine that was developed by himself (Taste! Wine by Kees Verlaan). While enjoying our cocktail drinks some small starters were served. Real great looks and real good Taste! This continued the rest of the evening. From really unique ways of presentation as well as the food quality: excellent. Maybe the portions were a little big sometimes for a 6 course. Besides the food, everything which is being served comes with a small explanation about origin (wines of course, but how often do you get background info of the olive oil in other restaurants... here they put pride in what they do... just enjoy). All for a more than acceptable price. The location in the basement does not have great views but has a real nice atmosphere and we have never been missing a view... but in summer time (they told us) they seem to open the outdoor dining at the 5th floor with a magnificent view of the city center, as they explained. Conclusion: we probably will end up being "regular" guests.Dear GerardV754,Thank you very much for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor! We feel honored to receive such a beautiful review. Our chef and his team do their best to give you an unforgettable experience with the finest dishes and pairing wines. We are happy to read that you enjoyed your evening with us!How nice that you mentioned the Taste! Wine developed by our sommelier Kees Verlaan himself. We serve this wine since a couple of weeks now, it is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback about it. Thank you once again and we are looking forward to welcome you again in the future! With kind regards,Mandy PrincenCustomerservice

A rather wonderful dining experience that you will not forget. Not your average restaurant, and you may only visit once or a few times, but you will not forget.Great location and property, done out exceptionally well, really friendly staff and they know their wines. We enjoyed a 10 course meal, starting with a fruity dish to get your pallet sorted followed by fish, duck and other courses before the sweets.Lovely evening, great food highly recommended.

I was served with cold barely defrosted lamb, after I complained dish was returned to kitchen and served back after few minutes in microwave... It's preposterous to served back.. Mousaka was cold as well... THIS FOOD IS NOT FRESH
Eating alone on a business trip is not always pleasant, especially if you have to wait for your food for 1,5 hours, while other tables are served. When the food finally arrived. The vegetables were raw.

We are a child friendly family restaurant with an imaginative map. In this former station coffee house, you can enjoy delicious French and international cuisine. For the children there is a separate playroom where they can play. Do you come without childr
Zalige avond gehad. Super vriendelijke bediening.

We just finished dinner at T'Slot one hour ago. I couldn't wait to write a positive review.I had the chicken burger and my wife had the beef teriyaki with noodles. Both were excellent. This was combined with helpful, courteous, speedy service.A great choice in Waalwijk.

The restaurant is located north of Efteling (a few minutes drive) and really close to the hotel we stayed in - the NH Waalwijk. The waitresses were very nice, and the design inside was cute in a fine way. It seems to be a place where the locals spend their time in a nice atmosphere, and it wasn't too crowded. The food was mostly Dutch, with a little Indonesian influences. We got the food after 20-30 minutes after reservation (which made us a little anxious), but when we got it we were very please - both from the sight and the taste of it.I can only say, that every dish we got was between good and excellent, and if I'll ever be in that part of the Netherlands again, I will surely come back
Where to eat Asian food in Kaatsheuvel: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This new grand cafe was opened early in 2016 and on my "to visit" list for while already. Yesterday I took my sons out to lunch and visited this modern facility. The place is large, has a big outside terrace and a transparent view from the sitting area inside to the kitchen. There is also a large bar in the middle of the interior but also cosy and a bit secluded seating arrangements on the sides are available. In all pleasant surroundings with nice Christmas decorations adding to the atmosphere. We had lunch and we all chose something different. In the mean time we had a chat with the owner who certainly puts his own mark on the way to run the premises. After a short wait the orders were delivered and we enjoyed the meals which were somewhat different and very tasteful. The place was not very crowded on an early Sunday but we will surely come again for a nice dinner. They use the "Josper" oven grill to cook their fish and meat and we certainly must try this next time. Hopefully visitors of the Efteling will discover this nice venue and they deserve it.
