Restaurant Pittoresk is part of hotel Am Schloss and offers fine dining. The restaurant & hotel are located in Aurich centre next to the pedestrian area.A nice atmosphere and good food define its character. On a Saturday evening early December the establishment appeared busy. We had our apéritif and dined in the restaurant. Decoration and table decoration give the restaurant a most pleasant ambiance. Staffs are very correct and service is friendly and courteous.The menu is traditional German. Nice food, well presented and tasty. We recommend restaurant Pittoresk to anyone who seeks good food in a nice atmosphere.

The restaurant looks potentially very good. Great location and good parking. The name -City Pearl- is rather misplaced. In spite of a half empty restaurant on a Friday night, service was slow and unfriendly. Waiting staff stood around and some new staff were ordered around by existing staff. The menus are confusing: looks like a newspaper and it took me a while to realise that it WAS the menu. I ordered pork medallions . The meat was too much (as everywhere in German restaurants) it was tough and dry. I could not eat it. I pointed this out to the waiter, he began to argue and did not offer anything else. I ate the chips and veg and paid the bill in full at the counter since no one came to take my money after 15 minutes waiting for the bill. The place has such potential but I will not go back.

Super leckere Burger , Das Fleisch sehr schön gewürzt und auf den Punkt gegart. Wir haben vorbestellt und das Essen mit nach Hause genommen. Werden wir garantiert wieder machen.

Wir haben 4 verschiedene Hauptgerichte probiert und waren begeistert. Auch die Salate sind lecker. Der Service ist sehr angenehm mit dem bekannt trockenen friesischen Humor. Also alles perfekt.Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben jetzt einige Male im Heidekrug gespeist.Das Essen war durch die Bank zufrieden stellend.Schade, dass manche SoÃen FertigsoÃen sind.Mittwochs und Samstags gibt es zusätzlich zur normalen Karte noch eine Steakkarte.Die Steaks sind ganz besonders zu empfehlen. Sie waren alle von guter Fleischqualität und auch auf den Punkt gebraten. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Preise sind alle noch im grünen Bereich.Es lohnt sich ab und an mal in die âWildnisâ Ostfrieslands zu fahren um gut zu Essen.
