It lies on Ireland's east coast, 3.5 km (2.2 mi) south of Bray and 24 km (15 mi) south of Dublin city centre and has a population of 18,140 (2016). The town is bordered by the Irish Sea to the east, Bray Head to the north and the Wicklow Mountains to the west. It is the 2nd biggest town in the county (after Bray).

Nice decor, very friendly service, good location right on the strand. Good parking in front. I had the duck. It was excellent. My wife had the fish and chips. Unfortunately, the fish was over cooked. I suspect that was a fluke because everything else seemed to click very well. I recommend the place and would enjoy returning. Hi DJB25Thank you for writing this review. Not your run of the mill fry up.Great selection all very nicely presented and served by friendly staff.Very generous portions.The berry compote is delicious!Sit outside (under cover if weather is inclement) or inside.Check out the great giant print of the old dock yard.Very popular, recommend you book if you have a large party.

I just returned from Cannes. Who knew that I would experience better French cuisine in Bray than France. Everything was so thoughtfully prepared and presented. The scallops were delicious and arrived tucked into their shells bursting with flavor. Carrot beet salad was gorgeous. Needed a little salt but was happy to sprinkle it on myself. Cocktails and wine were divine and dessert! Grilled French peaches with merengue and mouth watering fruity accompaniments. I had one bite left and someone attempted to take my dish. Well poor thing, I nearly bit his arm off (sorry!). Ok and last but not least, the staff! They were all amazing. So attentive and friendly and knowledgable. Lovely family dinner recently at The Castle Inn. There was a big gang of us including small kids and everyone enjoyed their food. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Great venue with loads of parking.
