Stopped here as didn't want to head towards Carlisle and was perfect for what we wanted, good selection of breakfast and lunch options that aren't fancy but are filling. On street parking available nearby. Service very friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and arrived quickly even though cafe was busy. Accessible ground floor toilet facilities. Would definitely recommend for lunch. I'm not needing GF options but think they had more on the menu than anywhere else I've seen recently! :)

Locally Sourced food with A new york state of mind
Sunny Saturday morning, still new to Carlisle and after reading the reviews of the Script we thought we would go in for brunch...... BIG mistake! We were shown to our table, menus delivered, 3 staff serving..... but then they all vanished and it took at least 10 mins for some to come back and take our order.... ok poor start but things happen. Breakfast ordered and coffee arrives.......... 15 mins no food, 20 mins no food, 25 mins no food, 30 mins no food.....but the you guys who arrived 10 mins ago have ordered and now being served our food. What made it worse was the shabby, lack of professional customer service. No one came over to apologise, or explain what had happened..... there all standing around the till. As I march to the service area/till... to complain and say after 30 mins and no food we are off Iâll pay for the coffee..... one guy says sorry please donât pay for the coffee.Still no explanation, still no apology....... still no attempt to keep the customer satisfied...... shabby!! Totally appreciate mistakes happen.... but canât understand or accept the poor customer focus.Well we tried it...... but can honestly say..... we wonât ever try it again!! Having a girly afternoon with my Daughter. Popped in here for a spot of lunch. Unfortunately the small restaurant was closed (private function) however we were told that we were welcome to eat in the bar area. We were looked after today by Sean, who was very pleasant and friendly. My daughter had the Chicken Fajita wrap and I had the Duck Hoisin wrap. Both were well presented and tasty although my daughter wishes there had been some Salsa with hers. Not too expensive and we never felt rushed to leave. Thank you.Dear GillybtThank you for taking the time to write a review, I'm pleased you found everything to your satisfaction and I will pass on your kind words to the staff involved. I also look forward to welcoming you back again in the near future.

Great portions and value for money. I could have easily eaten more cake but wasnât sure I would be able to move afterwards! Brilliant coffee too . Highly recommended and would definitely stop again
