this was the first restaurant that we went to on our trip to granada. it is probably the most appealing from the street. the waiters all did a good job and were actually quite professional for a small restaurant. The place was busy and popular with both locals and tourists.

The food was okay, as were the drinks, and it was nice sitting out front on their patio. The prices were reasonable, and there was a good mix of locals and tourists. I can't say it was the best Mexican food I've ever eaten, but it was "serviceable" and filling.

This little cafe is clean and friendly and the food was really good! It is right across the street from the Iglesia la Merced and we enjoyed watching people go past. We found an interesting fruit in one of the local markets and brought it back to the cafe where they told us all about it and then took it into the kitchen to prepare it for us so we could give it a taste. All in all it's a restful little spot in a busy little city.

Wonderful selection of authentic German cuisine prepared by the authentic German owner/chef. Very friendly staff. Cool ambiance. Good value. Few tourists, mostly ex-pats. They'll call you a taxi to get you home. Easy-peasy.

The pictures on this page don't do justice to this restaurant which has an attractive garden courtyard. Was one of our favorite meals in Nica. We stopped in the night before we wanted to have dinner to ask if they has vegan option for my husband and I. The chef listed options and said he'd see what he had in his garden as well. When we arrived the next day, we we're pleasantly suprised with a 4 course vegan menu he created just for us. Every dish was amazing and he personally deilvered and explained every dish to us. Couldn't reccomend enough!Thank you for your visit!I realize that vegetarians and vegans mostly get treated like second class citizens when it comes to restaurant meals so we decided to go the opposite route. Since we had a day's advance notice we decided why not surprise them with a four-course meal instead of a single sub par plate of steamed veggies.Your challenge has inspired us to do even more for the non-meat eaters among us!Regards,Bob y Kenia

Expect to be paying close to American prices for your meal but wow is it good. I came here a few times and tried a lot of the items. All were fresh and delicious. The best mojito I have ever had as well. Nice atmosphere as well.

Cafe de las Sonrisas was started and is still operated by Tio Antonio. In this cafe, which is only open in the mornings, provides a place where deaf people can learn the skills of waiting on cafe customers and earn a living wage. The menus and environment are specially designed to allow communications between the deaf waiters/waitresses and customers. Tio also teaches blind people the art of weaving high quality hammocks and other salable goods so that they can earn a living as productive members of society. Really, Granada is full of great places to eat and this is right up there. I had an awesome salad with avocado, chia seeds and white beans on top. Everyone was happy with their meals and excellent service to boot!Highly recommended for a delicious meal thatâs reasonably priced.
