Picture perfect position on the Grootdiep Canal right in the centre of Dokkum. Service is efficient and staff have a good command of English. Meals are reasonably priced and we opted for the Friesian set menu at 23.50 euro. If the weather is fine do not miss the opportunity to eat outside overlooking the canal.Recommended.

On a business trip for wedding photography. Had dinner the night before. The whole plaice fish as main course. 500 grams. Seemed sufficient for me alone. I was right.The food was delicious. Good taste. well cooked. Combinations on the plate where realy nice. Wait staff looked good. Neatly dressed. Punctual.The great thing about this place is that it is based on an old coffee roasting business. And they implement that theme throughout the restaurant. Hance the name. Open kitchen. So you can see how your food is made. Ambiance is therefore complete. Nice interior. Good seats. tables are big enough!

We dined here with a couple around 8:00 pm and sat along the canal. The restaurant provides heated tubes for comfort when the sun goes down. The atmosphere is casual. There is a good amount of staff. Organization of services is good and can use some improvement. There were some mix ups with delivery of wines because of the number of staff waiting on our table. The food was excellent. The shrimp starter was one of the best I have had. The seasonings were amazing. The ceasar salad was a Completely different spin on Caesar with bacon and tomatoes in it. The main courses of the sea bass was great and the pork schnitzel was very tender with perfect vegetables. Serving sizes were ample. Bathrooms are clean. An overall terrific experience in the gorgeous town.

We verblijven een paar dagen in een B&B in Dokkum en omdat onze dochter van bijna 5 maanden lekker in haar bedje lag te slapen besloten we om tapas af te halen.We hebben lekker zitten smikkelen van de smaakvolle hapjes. Echt een aanrader! En ook nog eens voor een prima prijsje.
