I enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal.We were at an outside garden seating and I was being attacked by insects and the owner was kind enough to provide insect repellent. Did not deter me at all.Not a rushed atmosphere, just cool vibes. Good meal and we had local beer.Free dessert from the chef who came and check on us. My son who is 6 really enjoyed his meal and the big sofa type chair in lounge area of the restaurant.I liked the ambiance, cool breeze and music and also the smile from the owner Everytime she came to our table. The price of our meal was comparable to that in the US.

The reviews for Basils are fairly consistent. We were one of two tables occupied on a Saturday night. Quiet location, relaxed ambience and Caribbean style. Menu was fairly straight forward with a good fish selection. We really had hopes for a great dinner but it just fell a little short. Our dinners were good but not great. We really enjoyed the atmosphere but wish it was a better dinner. Nominal value 3/5 starsRelative value 2.5/5 stars
JADE Cafe is a locally inspired, international cuisine cafe/ restaurant and bar. We offer a casual dine in, set in our outdoor covered patio and balcony.
My wife and I found this restaurant as it was conveniently located close to where were staying. The waitress sold to us very well the idea of a large lobster, and we decided to try it out.Presentation was impressive, but overall, the experience was poor for the following reasons:- The cost of the lobster on the menu was TT$250, but the actual cost was TT $650 due to the size. We were aware of this upfront but they really should change the menu to reflect that the cost of the lobster on the menu is dependent on weight.- The lobster itself seem to be stuffed with more potatoes that actual lobster. As it was all mixed up, there was actually no way we could tell whether some of the lobster was actually removed.- The lobster was accompanied with mashed potatoes, and when I asked about the potatoes, the waitress had to ask the chef about it only to be informed that it was in the lobster itself. A customer may not know, but surely the waitress should know what they are selling?- The flavor was ok, but I have tasted better lobsters. What is a bit of annoyance of many restaurants in Trinidad and Tobago, is that they all add a mandatory 10% service charge on the invoice, and in some cases expect an addition tip afterwards. I find this practice a bit of a rip off.Based on my experience, I probably would not chose to dine at this retaurant in the future.

Fabulous beach side dining with fresh seafood, premium ingredients, an awesome wine & cocktail list, and great personal and attentive service.
I had the pleasure of having dinner at this restaurant recently with my family. The food was great, portions we're quite large, drinks were on point, and desserts were lovely. Service was attentive, quick and friendly. Ambiance was beautiful, you can hear waves crashing on the shore. A few tips: definitely make reservations, the restaurant fills up around 7pm; if you have children, the tables have lit candles so be careful, also the ladies room does not have a baby changing area, high chairs for kids are available upon request. Be aware of the climate of Tobago, being tropical and humid: the restaurant has a lovely outdoor dining space and open verandah but with the weather, it may be humid. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would visit again.
The best little wine bar in the village, The Wining Goat is a place to relax and enjoy wine and tapas from regions around the world in a tiki bar setting.
Enchanting for it's location and so cozy and welcoming, owner Jo offers her clients a unique menu and variety of local delicacies! Well located on Pigeon Point Road in the Crusoe Village her newly opened eatery is just the right size for an intimate and romantic tete-a-tete or a small group party both inside or bistro style on her gallery! Decorated with taste and loaded with atmosphere, Jo's creativity is on display both in the decor and menu! Whether it be Shrimp locally seasoned with a blend of herbs or Locally Styled Bruschetta or Spicy Meatballs your taste buds will rejoice. For dessert try some dried plantain and caramelized papaya, topped with vanilla ice cream! You won't find anything like this little jewel of a restaurant anywhere else in Tobago! Looking forward to tasting what she comes up with next! Open every evening from 5pm until......Bravo Johanne!

Firstly the name is Dillon's Backyard Cafe, which is very misleading. It functioned as a full fledged restaurant. My local relatives chose this restaurant to have a family dinner over the Christmas holidays. We were in for a treat. The chef was very engaging and provided excellent feedback on the menu including the "catch of the day" which was on it's way to the restaurant while we were seated. I cannot say how impressed I was with the chef who expertly dealt with our orders especially with a large party having a large dinner, he was the real MVP. The wait staff were ordinary at best and can learn a thing or two from the chef's lead. The dishes were absolutely DELICIOUS, I had the seafood platter and would highly recommend it, the papaya salsa was excellent. All in all it was a great culinary experience involving mostly local food well seasoned and prepared. I would definitely go back again. This restaurant deserved 5 stars but lost one star due to the wait staff.
