Kloof street house provides a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy amazing food. The chicken main dish was amazing! Could not fault this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and recommended lovely wine to go with our meal. Will visit again

Our guide on a small group tour/safari suggested this restaurant near our hotel, saying they specialized in game. Eight of us went and no one was disappointed. We shared the game platter -- as it appears, everyone does -- and it was delicious, dispelling any reluctance I initially had in dining on the critters we'd soon see on safari.The warthog consisted of tender, barbecued ribs and the crocodile served in a mild curry sauce. The grilled kudu was similar to beef and the ostrich was served with a mushroom cream sauce. Game is not something every restaurant serves, so this is a good chance to try a well-prepared version. The malva pudding -- a South African specialty -- is not to be missed for dessert. End the evening with a springbok: green creme de menthe topped with the iconic Amarula liqueur, and meant to be drunk as a shooter. It's good!

Located at Waterfront we were offered a round table directly over the harbor: a great starting!It was raining that evening, and we realized that all rooms were a kind of terrace with cristal windows but no walls between the windows and the roof... it was chilly!An excellent bouillabaisse as starter and thereafter a generous seafood platter with West Coast Baby lobsters, large prawns and langoustins. All fresh and tasty. Good reasons to return!

The restaurant is within the Cape Grace Hotel- an experience in itself- very beautiful and reflects the hotel with its sophistication, service and high quality food. Dinner was quiet- we were almost the only diners on a Monday in autumn/ winter but this did not mean that any corners were cut- service was attentive and food sublime. It gave me the opportunity to eat springbok- a new experience and my wife's chicken was perfect. Deserts were amazing! We both enjoyed the experience immensely and can recommend this restaurant for any special occasion

The minute we entered the restaurant, we felt comfortable and cared for. The service was impeccable. We were presented with the dinner options but had some questions because my friend is lactose intolerant. Unlike some other restaurants I've been to where the staff seems put out when changes to a dish are requested, the server here just said she'd check with the chef and came back with some excellent options for my friend. The two dishes we had were deconstructed so had a unique look and the taste of both were wonderful. In fact, I know it's the best food I had during my visit to South Africa. The wine selections were excellent with a large pour - no stingy drink size here. The "on the house" dish of chocolates served at the end was a nice touch. I thought the price was reasonable for the experience and would definitely recommend La Mouette.

Excellent food..... I had the risotto and my husband had the sea bass dish- both were very tasty... We split the cheesecake dish for dessert- also delicious. The service was impeccable, as was the piano music and singing in the outer room. We had breakfast there as well... same excellent quality as the dinner. This has to be my favourite restaurant Iâve ever been to. From the moment we arrived the team were so attentive. The taster menu is excellent and even better with the paired wines. We were a little nervous about trying this social table concept because weâre not the most social people but we are sooooo glad we decided to give it a try! The atmosphere is super cosy and friendly inside the restaurant. The owner Julia and her sous-chef Melissa are so genuinely friendly and passionate about food that they really made this experience extraordinary for us! Most of their customers are tourists so it allows for meeting people from all around the world and sharing travel experiences. Julia has selected some local wines and then drew up her menu based on the pairing with the wines. The menu features local seasonal vegetables, oysters, king clip, ostrich, beef two ways, and of course a delicious dessert! Every plate was thought out to perfection with lots of flavors that complimented the wines perfectly! All the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and we loved tasting high end South African food! We loved when Julia took time to sit at the table with us to join the conversation. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! We loved everything and had the most wonderful and memorable evening! Thank you so much!
