Things to do in Bregenz
Essen gut, Trinken gut (Grappa!), Service gut, Preise gut.
We were a large group attending the opera and were booked in to this huge tent for dinner before the performance and it was raining heavily. The staff were fantastic, fast, helpful for us foreigners and the food was efficiently delivered. And it was really perfectly good. Well done.

Friends recommended this restaurant to us and I have to say it is really a great experience! The ambience is very welcoming and comfortable - I especially like lighting. We actually went twice in a week because we wanted to try so many dishes! We had the Fish Menu, the Vegan Menu, the Bodensee Fish and different meats. The creations look, smell and taste delicious! My favorite was the Octopus with Chorizo, Kale and Sweet Potatoes!Donât skip the desserts! Cocoa-Avocado with Coconut Ice Cream! Chocolate Lava Cake! Both so yummy! The service was just great. Very helpful and friendly! Thank you :-) Also it seems to be very important to them, with what products they work with. A lot is from the region, including the wine. And everything is bio!Definitely worth at least one visit!

Lovely meal at this very friendly and welcoming restaurant. The owner was lovely and very helpful. No problems serving a gluten free meal for my husband which was tasty and delicious and homemade by the owners wife....The food was all homemade and very well priced...great advice given on best wine to choose also.I would recommend pre booking as this restaurant is very popular and busy, although we did manage to get a table within 15 mins but in the summer I don't think that would be possible.Delightful and helpful owner who was happy to speak English to us as well....we will definitely return here when in Lindau again.

what more does one want. You overlook the yacht basin and can comment on the boats and skippers. The menu is varied and the preparation excellent.

Just as remarkable as the architecture are the culinary delights on offer at the Bregenz Festival House restaurant buehnedrei right by the lake. With its clear lines and plentiful natural light, the modern architecture ensures a pleasant ambience for ever
Given there are always 'limitations' to do with delivering good food with 'speed' before a performance at any venue in the world, one could do a lot worse than consider choosing the convenience of dining here beforehand--then only needing to walk a very short distance to the entry of the venue itself! Looks good & a smiling welcome. But ambitions were not quite matched by seamlessness, even though on the whole, the helpful, friendly staff certainly did try!Silly things like beginning the dinner by ordering two starters TO SHARE at a table of six diners..& no individual plates NOR any utensils provided either with which to eat the food nor to dispense it!...& of course an unwanted DELAY ensued. & so having ALSO to ask for condiments, more bread & water..& finally no one alert to us needing to pay the bill to GO promptly all take the gloss of one's dinner experience. My main, two (!) tasty beeksteak pieces , were nearly accurately cooked -- but curiously & disappointingly the chef didn't cook the generous serve of local boiled carrots long enough-- nearly RAW-- but overdid the liquidizing of the mashed potatoes. A bit 'sloppy'.... Others did less successfully ordering the noodles with crispy duck (sounds nice) but Oh NO! ... they had sliced through the (overcooked) noodles like for a child to eat!...& no chopsticks! Another case where Asian food attempted by European cooks rarely succeeds.....too sweet also...Bad choice, that oneNice wine card , prices ok & coffee also ok & came promptly enough... but how frustrating trying to get the bill to pay & leave in good time to use the loo & get seated.

I've been there many times already and chef Harald Fink's creations never disappoint. On warm days the terrace, facing away from the street, is a great place to relax and indulge in the food and drinks on offer. The business lunch changes frequently and is an excellent deal, probably the best you'd get for that price in town.
