Our first dinner we had in Barreirinhas was at this place because we stayed at the hotel (by the way: also the best hotel in town. No doubt about that). We were a bit surprised: for Brazilian standards the food was excellent. And believe it or not: the pizza they prepare is definitely the second best pizza we ever had anywhere (if you're interested: the best Pizza we had was in Big Sur, California). It is so incredible good and delicious. We also tried other restaurants in town but we were always happy to come back. We loved Porto Preguicas.

Top cuisine in barrierinhas Thai international food . awsome people. Perfect location in front of the river in the central tourist point in town. Great option for a change of flavors in Maranhão. First of all, the service is just excellent. Arriving there, the table I asked for was set for me. The staff just super friendly, and ready to make your evening as comfortable as possible.Then the food arrived; "moqueca de peixe" (a traditional fish stew), it was just perfect. Best moqueca ever.Thank you Lamiaa and La ferme de Georges'staff for a great night out.More than recommendable!!

Bad. Restaurant is inside the Gran Lençóis Flat Residence. So if you're out of the Flat do not waste your time and money at the La Maison Du Chef restaurant. The staff were very attentive, but even so such attention in the care did not excuse the bad dishes. We ordered noodles with shrimp and catupiry and anoter dish with a nice name but very bad, with shrimp, tomato sauce and a strange risotto, to be honest I did not record the name, which has something with the word "Daniel". Anyway, if you are in the flat or out of it I do not recommend eating at the La Maison Du Chef restaurant.
