Soaring above Amsterdamâs rooftops, step into a calm and composed realm of fine dining at Ciel Bleu restaurant. Situated on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, Ciel Bleu holds two Michelin stars for its international cuisine led by chefs Onno Kokmeij
We had an amazing experience at Ciel Bleu. We were seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant overlooking the lights of the city. Our delicious dinner looked like art as it was served by a very attentive wait staff. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and chose the perfect wine for each course. Highly recommend!

Spectrum is an internationally dynamic kitchen with proud Dutch heritage. Chef Sidney Schutte and Restaurant Manager Sascha Speckemeier have the ambition of bring joy, goosebumps and a stillness in time which comes from the sheer appreciation of flavors.
Had dinner in Spectrum last week with 2 colleagues. The restaurant, located inside of Waldorf Astoria hotel, is beautiful and has good atmosphere. We had the 12 course dinner which took about 4 hours (you can choose less courses). Service was impeccable. The waiters answered instantly any question I had about the food and were super attentive. Food was one of the best I had in a Michelin star restaurant and certainly the best I had in Amsterdam. This place is HIGHLY recommended and I will return there soon.

AN EXPERIENCE. Within strolling distance from Theatre Carré there is the stage of Hans Verbeek and Esther van Meerten, the two culinary artists from restaurant Utrechtsedwarstafel. Their performance is a ballet of wine and food. Indulge yourself with the
Through 40+ years of travel and adventures this counts as one of our most memorable meals. Both the food and the wines were truly outstanding, and the specific pairings elevated both to an exceedingly delicious experience. The small space is intimate but lively. The host, Hans, went out of his way to make sure everyone had a terrific experience, talking about each wine and the food to go with it. For us the evening just got better and better as we were made to feel as though we were regulars and that we belonged there even though this was a first visit. We knew nothing about the restaurant; it's in the neighborhood where we stayed and I happened to meet the host at the door when I was checking out the window menu. After a several-minute chat with him I felt that this could be a special experience, so reserved a table for that night. It exceeded our expectations! The next time we are in Amsterdam this will be the most important meal that we reserve!Dear Frank, it was a great pleasure having you as a quest. Thank you for your kind words in the review. I will share those with my team. Best regards, Hans.

Lovely cute place with unique vegan dishes. I am not vegan but still loved every bite of what we ordered. Broccoli pasta is a must try! However I donât recommend the tiramisu (we tried all four).

The 'olde worlde' decor creates a charming ambience in a traditional Dutch setting, that's pleasant at lunchtime and likely even more delightful and cosy at night. The menu is wide ranging with both traditional and more contemporary choices with both light meals or the full three course a la carte options. The bar is pretty well full service and it's nice to find delicious alternative beers like Texel instead of the omnipresent Heineken!Service is friendly, helpful and polite with menus in both English and Dutch.Prices are very reasonable and reflect good value.Overall a very enjoyable place to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner, or even a snack and a beer on your own!Goedendag, Hartelijk dank voor uw leuke beoordeling. Wij hopen dat u ons nog eens bezoekt in cafe Sonneveld.

PIQNIQ: for your breakfast, lunch & high tea in the Jordaan area in Amsterdam PIQNIQ as in picnic? Yes, something like that. PIQNIQ is derived from the French word for picnic; pique a nique. Pique means 'choose or pick something' while nique stands for 'a
Visited this restaurant for breakfast a couple of times during our Amsterdam trip. Quaint small restaurant with the nicest most gracious staff and delicious breakfast choices. We had the pancake and waffle choices along with the fresh squeezed OJ. Perfect way to start the day. And love their morning song tracks. Highly recommend!

Having read all the glowing reviews, I booked dinner with my daughter and opted for the full 7 courses. Service was very good and the food all looked exquisite but the flavours were, with one exception, very disappointing. I have been lucky to enjoy tasting menus at various Michelin and non-Michelin restaurants around the world so can say that this was, sadly, style over substance. With 2 glasses of pink champagne each, mineral water and gratuity, it was an expensive evening which I wish Iâd missed.

Booked after reading reviews and wasnât disappointed. The atmosphere and service are great. The duck starter and oysters were delicious. We had a selection of mains including the beef and the lamb. The presentation and taste were top quality. Itâs a little bit out of the way but it is worthwhile.

This meal was excellent. Service was superb from start to finish. Prompt, courteous, friendly, knowledgable. The food was very, very good. Although the dishes were usually complex, the individual flavors came out, and were not muddled. I especially appreciated that each dish had a meaningful number of vegetable garnishes. Too often, restaurants just put the protein and sauce on the plate and little else. These were very well balanced. I note the lamb in the lamb dish was lacking in flavor; I doubt it was grass-fed. Also one grit of sand in a mussel. But overall, excellent. The cocktail menu is extensive and ours were delightful.
