Reviews on International food in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Almaty /ˈælməti/ (Kazakh: Алматы, Almaty [ɑlmɑˈtə]; Russian: Алматы), formerly known as Alma-Ata /ˌælmə.əˈtɑː/ (Russian: Алма-Ата) and Verny (Russian: Верный Vernyy), is the largest city in Kazakhstan, with a population of 1,797,431 people, about 8% of the country's total population. It served as capital of the Kazakh state in its various forms from 1929 to 1997, under the influence of the then Soviet Union and its appointees. Alma-Ata was the host city for a 1978 international conference on Primary Health Care where the Alma Ata Declaration was adopted, marking a paradigm shift in global public health. In 1997, the government relocated the capital to Astana in the north of the country, which is about 12 hours away by train.

Would you believe that the best Indian food inAlmaty is in a British Pub? The Indian chef can wipe up any great Indian dishes that you would like. I often get takeaways. The Rogan Josh and Pakoras are my favourite.By the way, the beer is great too.

We were a group of four who went here at 6.30 on a Saturday night. We were able to be comfortably seated. We ordered a range of different meals and we all enjoyed the food. The chicken burger was very good definitely the best Iâve had in a long time. We had desserts and can highly recommend you try these as well. We had three different that we shared and they were all as good as the other. We will be back. Hello, thank you very much for your review. We're glad that you enjoyed your evening. We keep updating our menu to keep it interesting, so hope to see you back in Craft soon :)

VISTA in The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty is a sophisticated breakfast and lunch restaurant in the highest building of Almaty, Kazakhstan. It offers an international buffet with European, Kazakh influences, alongside an Italian a la carte menu during evening time
We were staying at the Ritz and since it was raining we decided to stay at the hotel and have drinks at the Vista. We chose a corner overlooking the city which was basically just a couch and no table. The restaurant arranged for us to have our drinks and snacks there. It was simply beautiful.

We ended up here whith a couple of friends who live in town as English teachers. It was good to have their Russian skills but not necessary. The server was working on her English so we helped each other. The bar is nice, warm and inviting. We just had drinks and snacks. (Fries and later brownies) All the food was good, the menu was easy to read and the drinks were cheap and yummy. I loved the flags on the ceiling. If you use the restroom check out the "rules". Seriously, go here. They are great. Support local quality bar life.

It is not a big place. If you translate the Pech it means oven. Everything cooked there in oven, even bread. It is very delicious and good place. I took the lamb in pot, it was good. Mostly meat in oven.
