Although we have been coming to Alcossebre for many years, it’s only in the last 3 years or so that we’ve started coming to The Alein Restaurant. They redecorated the restaurant sometime ago, and it’s lovely with lots of personal touches. We are creatures of habit I’m afraid, and last night we had our favourite: red Thai curry and dessert. I had panacotta and my OH had home made cheesecake. We normally have the bruschetta too, but we weren’t hungry enough to have that too.The Thai curry is nothing like the curry’s we get in the Uk, but I simply love it. It’s packed full of flavour and although not huge is more than enough for both of us. After a spicy meal, the panacotta and the cheesecake were perfect. Alexandria and her husband (and chef) Diego make lovely hosts. Prices are very reasonable, and the wine is always good. We paid €12.50 for a Chardonnay blend, and it works well with the spicy ness of the curry. We’ve eaten pasta and pizza here too, and it’s beautifully presented.Although there were only two of us in the restaurant, there was a nice ambience and the music relaxing. Can definitely recommend!Thank you, we hope to see you soon!!!

Parents & friends visited last night and my mother who cannot have nuts because it could be very harmful for her (last her sister recently who had same medical symptoms) inquired if the chocolate brownie had nuts in the ingredients and was told no nuts. Having had her second mouthful it was full of nuts, left this and when they spoke to the waiter he wouldn’t take it off the bill. Your crazy you could of killed her!!!Please don’t eat here with nut allergies because they haven’t a clue what they are serving. YOUVE BEEN WARNEDThe waiter did not understand that she was allergic, he thought he would ask if the brownie carries nuts and replied yes. I' really sorry, that waiter doesnt speak English.

Had pizza and chips here, chips were what can I say just reheated chips, pizza was almost funny load of processed cheese on a tortilla type wrap, very little topping couldn't see any tomato base let alone taste it, 10 euros for the pizza which was no better than knocking up cheese on toast, chips were more expensive than the menu we ordered them off and when I queried it was told prices have changed and menus are old! We had coke zeros which were the small 250ml bottles place is a total con...one thing that made be laugh looking at the breakfast menu..beans on toast 4 euros..do they think they are the Ritz? This is one to steer clear off!
