Modern international Restaurant with Lounge Bar.
First visit to Ellingtonâs and we were really impressed. There was a good menu to choose from, and if you ask there was lots of vegetarian options that werenât advertised. The food was fantastic, we had Sunday dinners - one chicken and one vegetarian. Good selection of vegetables with both and good sized portions. Fishcake starters were lovely.

We went yesterday for dinner and I must say the food was really tasty. I had sea bass delicious the green beans and the fish was perfectly cooked. My husband had steak and ale pie and next time Iâm getting that. My son had a chicken burger and the chorizo relish was so tasty. Then we shared a brownie I liked the chewiness but would serve with vanilla ice cream rather than chocolate. We also had sticky toffee pudding and that was ok. We had drinks and the meal was just shy of £70 not bad I thought. Service was fine just a bit of a delay between main and sweet. I like to wait but at 20 mins we had to remind the staff. They were great and desserts arrived. This place is on my doorstep so I will be back. Thanks for the lovely review and glad to hear you all enjoyed it. By all means next time ask for Vanilla Ice Cream! We can certainly do that for you! Apologies about the wait for desserts, sounds like a bit of a mishap on our side but again glad you enjoyed them. See you again soon!!

We visited Hampsonâs on Wednesday evening, there was an offer on (40% off) on an already reasonably priced menu. We chose many of the small plates to share and the food was really good. Our server Tristan was entertaining and the chef Ryan came out to speak to us too. Iâd highly recommend this place for an informal dinner!

Eatery on a corner of Dale street and Crosshall street giving Liverpool proper food, proper drinks and friendly service since March 2015
On our recent trip to Liverpool we discovered this gem and started each day with one of their delicious and reasonably priced breakfasts. Friendly, welcoming staff. A swift service where nothing was too much trouble for them. On one morning I had a special cereal dish with fruit made to order. Everything is beautifully presented. A lovely venue with a great vibe. Highly recommended.

Bacchus Taverna is a modest looking little place on a busy Liverpool street near the cruise ship dock, but it's a gem. The inside is tidy and welcoming and our waiter was very kind and helpful. We had Kleftiko (slow roasted lamb shoulder) and Keftedia (lamb & pork meatballs in a fragrant tomato sauce). Our main dishes were accompanied by green beans with tomato & onion, rice lightly dressed with tomato sauce & roasted potatoes. We shared a plate of Saganaki for our appetizer. The lamb shoulder was fork tender, the 6 meatballs were handmade & tasty. All the food was spiced perfectly & our waiter took wonderful care of us! Definitely a placed we'd enjoy returning to.
