The restaurant is located on the main side street from Surabaya-Pasuruan, so just before entering the main city of Pasuruan on the left there will be big sign of Kebon Pring Pasuruan. The place is big and having large parking area. Staff is friendly, once we arrived, a waiter already asked how many person need to be placed and where guest want to be service. What we like is the cozy atmosphere with bamboo design. Guest can choose between sit down with bamboo chairs and tables as normally restaurant can provide or just sitting in small bamboo floor deck with table which is common as 'lesehan' on its open outside area. This is Indonesian restaurant providing mainly for Indonesian cuisine and speciality for Javanese food, ranging from fried rice, fried noodle, fried or grill chicken (ayam goreng/ayam bakar). Also fried/grill fish (ikan goreng/bakar/pesmol). The traditional soup like 'Sop Sayur Asem' (Sour soup vegetable) is also available and very delicious in taste. And all food serve in good taste in quality. Although the quantity is nor too much, so it may say well enough only for 4 pax or small family size member. The price is in mid range, not too cheap but we think it's fair judging the food quality and the restaurant atmosphere. So this place can be an optional restaurant during visit in Pasuruan, especially for someone who search for traditional Indonesian menus with good, clean and cozy atmosphere. When we visiting it's during the day on lunch and we think it will be nice to eat on this place for dinner during the night atmosphere.

This is an old designed restaurant that's served east javanese cuisine. Located in the Pantura (north Java) route and it's quiet ambiance, made rumah makan Tengger a perfect spot to take a rest. This restaurant also a local favorite and said to be visited by former president of Indonesia (Mr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono) several times during his tenure.

See many locals and visitors taking their lunch at this establishement. The food was actually tasty. Famous for their crab dishes which we avoided because it needs hands and too much time consuming! The gurame asam manis, cumi bakar, can toge, udang bakar and tahu tempe taste good. Price was also reasonable. All the above plus rice and drinks came to about Rp300K!

Tired of travelling from and to Surabaya, you can rest a while at this area. They sell coffee and refreshments. An interesting product they sell is the sweet potato (in Indonesia: ketela) in various forms of servings. That is all.
