We came here for dinner, hoping that we would get a half decent meal. As Kupang isn't a tourist destination, and we were the only people dining, we were a little worried, about the quality of the food, and where they would source it (we had visited the local food market). We were very pleasantly surprised, the whole grilled fish was cooked to perfection!! In fact the whole meal, was cooked to perfection. The beat fish I'd ever eaten. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and I can't wait to eat here again. Dear RebeccaThank yau for comming to our place.Thank you verry much for the exellent review.Hope you will come to our place again when you in town.
Cozy place
Eating out in Kupang can be unpredictable. What was excellent and available last week, may well be either garbage or just not on the menu this week. This happens All. The. Time. It is SO frustrating.Resto Waroenk however, is largely consistent. Yep, sometimes certain things aren't available still (that's Kupang), but I find it's much less of a proportion of the menu than most other places. And what they do serve is consistent, wholesome, good food. I have eaten in this place (either the one here or the one in Transmart) a dozen times, and probably only once walked away dis-satisfied. That's a good strike rate.Service is good too, and the prices are frankly amazing. It is cheap to eat here, considering it is a modern restaurant with decent food from a whole variety of cultures. Highly recommend this place.

After couple of days of having an adventurous food, well you need your stomach to be a bit normal. My choice of normal and standard food in Kupang is this restaurant. Located in Bay area they serve choices of Indonesian food and chinese food with standard taste (not too salty and not too spicy). Nice ambiance at dining, also they had live music (single organ) at night. The food price is also reasonable, they serve fresh sea food. Recommended for your family or couple.... do try the mung bean ice.

Last vacation we manage to go to Kupang and visit this famous Sei Babi Baun - Om Ba'i during our visit to one of our relative in Baun county. I love meat and really love traveling around Indonesia and finding local cuisine and especialy pork.....When we got here, I already imagine the place to be dirty, not very hygene, with flies, bad service and not a compfy place. Yes, all the reviewer is rite, that is the place that I got, typical traditional food in Indonesa. And I have no problem about that. We ordered the pork ribs since it is recommended by my family, taste it with the rice and sambal Lu'at (traditional Kupang Chilli). The meat is nicely cooked and yes it is delicious. For around 400 - 500K Rupiah you can have a big portion of Se'i complete with rice and drinks for 5 - 6 person to eat for lunch. Very nice deal.... However, turns out that my stomach is not for this kind of food, just a couple hours after eating the tasty meat it became a nightmare for me, having a bad diarea after that. Although the meat is OK, I did not expect to have a bad stomach day after that. So for you guys who happens to be have a not strong stomach I do not recommend this type of cuisine just limit your self with the ones in Kupang city. However if you had a strong stomach you should try this Sei.

The Pala Coffee Shop is a clean, well-kept café with both indoor and outdoor seating. The spectacular sea view makes dining on the outdoor deck particularly pleasant in the cool of the evening. The restaurant serves up an excellent buffet breakfast and tasty meals for lunch and dinner as well. Staff are courteous and professional. We had several meals at the Pala Coffee Shop during our week-long stay at On The Rock Hotel. The only complaint we had was the extraordinary length of time it took for our orders to come. One evening, the man at the next table became so infuriated after waiting for 50 minutes that he got up in a huff, scolded the servers, paid for his drink, and stalked out before his food had come. And who could blame him? For the sake of customers and servers alike, we hope the hotel management will investigate the problem and hire more kitchen staff if needed.

I'd love to give this place 5 stars, as in many ways it deserves it. There are few really modern and nice places to eat/drink in Kupang, but this is one of them. Great inside bar and pool tables, lovely outdoor area with a pool, and live entertainment most nights. The service is generally good, and while a bit pricey it's what you'd expect to pay for this kind of place. The food can be great, but alas it's pretty hit and miss. I've had some good meals here but also some pretty darn ordinary ones. Also, sometimes they just don't have beer. For one of the biggest bars in town, that just floors me. Almost 2 weeks without Bintang, when everywhere else in town has it. That sounds like poor organisation to me. It's these inconsistencies that bring the rating down for me. I love going here, but it's disappointing when you can't get a beer and/or you have a bad food experience.Dear Mr. dBrown,Warmest Greetings from Sotis Hotel Kupang,Thank you very much for your comment and recomendation. All your comment motivation us for improve our better serviceWe are sorry for your uncomfortable recarding the sold out items Beer Bintang.we promise the problem not happen again in the futureWe waiting your next visitingDame - GM Secretary

Its a local seafood restaurant. Located at Jl. Piet A. Tallo Liliba, Kupang. Similar like other Seafood restaurant, it sells seafood menu such as roasted fish, crabs etc.
Excellent fresh grill red grouper fish. Good rica-rica sambal at side as I prefer the fish to be grilled with salt only. Good price too for such quality and taste. Looks like an iconic eating place in Kupang as many celebrity photos hung on wall.

After walking 2 kilometres in the hot dry sun we arrived only to find that the system for getting a table is - there is no system. Staff had no idea... peoplqe were all over the place.. take away or waiting for table... No one knew... Sat down eventually... waited for ages ... No one came... so I say good luck... For #1 It's dirty, looks like a 100 year old shack, no service, no system, no idea. Don't bother it's just bbq ham.
