Find out what Indonesian restaurants to try in Bintan Island. A popular destination for golfers looking for better rates and more accessible courses, Bintan is also a nice way to escape the bustle of Singapore. A ferry ride takes between one and two hours, depending on where you’re headed. From there you can relax on one of the beaches or head inland for hiking and ATV rides or take a ride at the elephant park. There are a couple of towns on Bintan, but the island’s natural beauty is what draws visitors.

This Chinese seafood restaurant is located along the main stretch of road where lots of food outlets are located. It has both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Great variety of food options such as crabs, lobsters, prawns, shell fish and more. Quality of food is good but a little pricey compared to other seafood restaurants.

We heard good things about this place and decided to check it out. Unfortunately, it was pretty average, nothing to shout about. The people were friendly and helpful. However, the food was served cold, and most dishes were rather average in quality. Somewhat pricey too.Won't recommend going out of your way to visit.
Beautiful scenery in the afternoon and while watching the sunset by the beach is perfect for accompaying time with the family while waiting for dinner time, with additional various kind of delicious food so we cant have many chouices of food as we want..

Locked into the Cassia Condotel resort, we had little options but to have 2 dinners and 2 lunches here. And one breakfast.First -- lets me clear that its not the worse breakfast we've had in Bintan. They make a fair try at trying to look different but their offerings were all cheap fare. For breakfast, wieners from a can rather than actual like ... sausages. Unsmiling staff most of the time, and a noodle station that was attended by a guy more interested in his phone. I had to actually ask loudly to shake him from his interest in the phone.for Lunch and Dinner ... it insults me how the management feels it can get away with charging more than Singapore prices, for food thats cheap and poorly prepared. Wheres the Angsana/Banyan tree standard ? Ordered a Spring Chicken ... what came was 2/5ths of a chicken. Ordered curry fish ... 3 pieces of fish in a small tureen. The place shrieks of "Lets rip 'em off as much as we can". Staff were mainly inattentive and we had to signal several times to get their attention.
An epic casual dining experiences with spectacular panoramic sea view and the limitless beauty of Tanjungpinang.
I was on business trip to Tanjung Pinang. Friend of mine recommends this place. The outdoor side is perfect to enjoy sunset time. You can see pulau Penyengat from this place. The food was great and the place was cozy. Reasonable price for the food.
I came here to have some lunch, they served Indonesian food mostly but they also have some of western food like burgers and pasta. The place was kinda hard to find but it's located near the Anmon Resort. And actually they're building something near the restaurant, something like a really big pool which will be the view of the restaurant as well. Anyway the food was nice, the staffs were very kind to me, i picked the tahu gejrot for the starter dish and the mldp fried noodle and also a fresh coconut cause it was so hot here and the fresh coconut was perfectly a good choice that time. They also served cocktail and beer here, and I think that would be great if you visit this place at night, so quiet and relaxing.I would recommend u guys to visit this place when you're in Bintan.

With dishes ranging from mushroom-cappuccino soup to beef fajitas, this restaurant serves Western dishes influenced by Asian tastes. Guests can also enjoy live performances by the in-house band. Open daily for lunch and dinner from 09:00 AM - 10:30 PM.
We've been to Nirwana Gardens 9 times and every time we will revisit. There's live band in the evenings. Open concept kitchen so you can see the chefs at work right at the centre of the restaurant. Standard of food has dropped compared to previous visits. Portion used to be bigger and very delicious. Used to think its worth the price tag. This round the food portion has shrunk, the food taste average, nothing fantastic enough to feel execptional. Definitely doesn't worth the price anymore. Most of the staff this round seems quite new and not as experienced as before. We ordered the high tea platter, knowing that there are 5 of us, they gave us a 4 seater, remembered to serve us 5 cups for the coffee and tea but forgotten to set the table for the 5th person. Only 1 set of high tea platter came, its the same amount of food as the couple at the next table. Staff could have recommended /suggested us that the high tea tier serving is only for 2 perhaps we can order more, instead of us finding out later. We just assumed that this staff is new. We would love to come back again so please please don't let the food standard and customer service go down anymore.

We had a dinner and lunch here during our stay at the resort, our buffet breakfasts were also served here. All meals were excellent. We opted for Indonesian meals for dinner - our server asked if we wanted the milder versions, which we did - and these were still spicy for our taste buds. We shared onion bhajis, vegetable pakoras and chicken satay at lunch - the best bhajis weâve tasted! There was an excellent choice at breakfast to suit western and Asian tastes. All food was well presented and staff could not have been more polite and helpful.

I visited this restaurant with my partner on our first night in Bintan Island with the intent of trying out some authentic Indonesian cuisine. It was located within the premises of Banyan Tree Resorts and as we were staying at their sister resort (Angsana), we have to factor in some time for traveling to the restaurant. This was surprisingly a seamless transfer as both Angsana and Banyan Tree resort staffs ensured our timely pick up from the resort to the restaurant (which involved a chauffeured car transfer to the lobby of Banyan Tree followed by a Buggy ride to the restaurant). We reserved an outdoor seating just before sunset which allowed us to catch a breathtaking view of the ocean while enjoying our meal (although sunset occurred midway through our meal, and the surroundings were pitch dark thereafter). One advice to the management will be to install a couple more lightings in the outdoor area as it was not easy to have good visual of the food we were having (ironically we were illuminating the food with our phone torch at times). However, kudos to the staff who reacted quickly when I suggested placing an additional candlestick to the one that was already on the table. It did help a little though to the visuals but more definitely can be done. Food quality however made up for any subpar experience. We had the Rujak Tahu Palembang which is their signature appetizer and is simply made up of 3 parts: beancurd, egg noodles and fish cake in a sour and sweet tamarind plum sauce, which is not really to our liking. In contrast the main courses were impressive. We tried the Nasi Goreng and their signature duck dish (which was featured in the finals of some competition as described in the menu). The rice grains were fragrant, the satay meat was generous in size, largely compact with a good chewy texture, and well seasoned, and the grilled prawn was charred to perfection. The duck was analogous to Ayam penyet (Malay fried chicken) but definitely an upgrade in terms of texture and flavor. The rice served on banana leaf lined in a hollow bamboo was infused with the leaf fragrance and was a perfect combination accompanying each bite of the duck. On top of that, as many other reviews had pointed out which I wonât elaborate further, complementary crackers were served with a variety of dips of different flavors that one can savor prior to the meal. We should also highlight that we were fortunate that there were no other outdoor diners during our entire dining experience and hence were able to have our own private space which is a big plus. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience as itâs not often that one gets to enjoy good food and company in a serene environment with breathtaking view.
