We had planned on going for INDIAN street food but my husband wanted a âproperâ meal. Yukti had excellent reviews and was close to our hotel and near our favourite pub. When I checked out the menu to my delight I discovered they did street food as well. My husband ordered a âproperâmeal onion and potato bhajis with tamarind chutney, peshwari naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. I ordered Ragda Patties and Mutton Roll. The Ragda Patties was heaven on a plate. A tasty chickpea stew with a wonderful fresh topping, coriander onion pomegranate seeds. The mutton rolls were a mutton and potato mix breadcrumbed and deep fried. They arrived at the table freshly cooked with not a hint of grease. Every dish was a delight but my new love was Ragda Patties. I just need an excuse to visit Liverpool soon and return for the Perfect combination. Street food and a âproperâ meal!!

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday whilst we were staying in New Brighton. Have eaten in this restaurant before and, as always, the food was delicious. Modern restaurant but with nice atsmosphere and friendly staff. Will visit again when we are next in New Brighton.

First time here Friday 4th October, we were with four friends who had been before and highly recommended this restaurant. They are right, service food and price are all excellent, we shared mixed meat starters and picked 6 different mains with rice and nans. All wonderful. Will definitely be back

My girlfriend and I visited Elachi based purely on trip advisor ratings and the feedback given on the reviews. Unfortunately our experience didnât quite meet those who gave glowing recommendations. Overall, Elachi delivered a distinctly average experience in all parts from service to food quality and it wonât live long in our memory. During our visit we ate poppadoms with a chutney tray which I must say were good; we really enjoyed the tamarind dip. Regrettably the chicken chaat didnât really tick any boxes. The pancake was thick and claggy, with the sauce lacking any flavour or spice. The lamb tikka masala was served in a sauce so overly sweet, it seemed like weâd finished off our evening with a dessert. The lamb was actually cooked to an okay standard, but unfortunately the sauce it was served with just wasnât good enough. Lastly the service. Although, it wasnât a service of negative quality, like the meal it was extremely hit and miss. The lady who served us was nice and tried to do all she could for us, but unfortunately the naan bread failed to reach the table and had to be taken off our bill because we had already finished eating before anyone remembered to bring it.I canât put my stamp of approval on this restaurant but the other 80+ 5* reviews canât all be wrong, so maybe our sub-par experience was a one-off.
