Once a pride of shimoga but over the years, standard has gone from good to bad and to worse, food quality served is bad and tasteless and frankly I had upset stomach after eating here, better choose another place, it's old., not maintained and hygeine seems to be their last priority

This restaurent is at the ground floor of a hotel right on the main road at Shimoga between Bangalore and Sagar. Restaurent is very neat and air conditioned. though menu offers variety actual availability is limited. Service is quick and the food is average.

Had a pleasant experience in this very small hotel in the middle of Shimoga town. Its a very old restaurant so do not go expecting too much. They have everything basic but clean.Its like a restaurant that takes you back in time. Food was fresh and basic.Service was friendly and quick.

This Lodge/Hotel is in the main city and its near to KSRTC bus stand/Central shopping mall.Rooms are spacious and service is good.Rooms and Lodge is maintained very well.Lodge has Restaurant and food taste in the restaurant is very tasty too.

We had our Lunch at "Anmol-The Family Cuisine" during our recent visit to Shimoga. This property was recommended by my nephew who frequently visits Shimoga. We were three adults and two kids. Ordered the following items from their menu:-Cream of Chicken Soup, Mutton Biriyani, Chicken Biriyani and Fresh lime soda.Strengths:-1. Food-Excellent food which was tasty and with less oil and spice. My kids really enjoyed the food.2. Location- Located on the first floor of Devaraj Urs Complex in the central Gopi circle.3. Ambiance-Spacious and spread out restaurant with nice, clean décor4. Extremely friendly and helpful staffArea of improvement:-1. Speed of serviceI would recommend food lovers visiting Shimoga to check out this restaurant. The restaurantâs Mutton and Chicken Biriyaniâs were extremely good and appear to be very popular with the food enthusiasts.

Food very reasonably priced, thay also have excellent lunch and dinner buffets, with predominantly Indian dishes. We had made an urgent trip to Shimoga to view the beautiful Jog falls and other surrounding places. We booked a room at Shimoga and had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Hotel Shubham. The place is good but the only problem is the crowd there. The hotel staff find it very difficult to maintain the crowd and service is also slow especially if you are ordering North Indian Food which is available only upstairs. I would not recommend this hotel if you are in a hurry and want to have North Indian food as the waiting time is too much. The hotel is clean. The mushroom Manchurian that we ordered was very less in quantity and we could barely find 4-5 mushrooms. When we mentioned that to the cashier, he charged for it and refused to accept the fact.

The Hotel has a restaurant in the ground floor, Tiger Trail serving both Veg & Non Veg food. Visited here for Lunch. Food quality and portions were descent; however the taste could have been better. Service was pathetic, people serving there were very relaxed.The morning buffet breakfast good with elaborate spread on the menu.I was here by 7.50AM, there was none to serve water as well. Had to make repeated requests for some items from their Live counter, but still it was not served, finally made a visit myself and got the item. I found that the Donuts, cakes and croissants were frozen and did not feel like fresh ones. During the breakfast, we found a Medium size glass piece in the Masala Dosa, the same was brought to the notice of the Manager and also to the Chef. Was really astonished as to how a hotel of this repute makes these kind of blunders.

A must visit place. The vada was very crisp, tasty. Masala dosa is a must try too, again very crisp and tasty. I believe they use good quality ingredients including the oil/butter, the heavy eating never led to any uncomfortable feeling at all. The coffee was soothing too.
