This was my first visit to Kanishka. I brought my wife here on Mother's Day. I had an enjoyable time sampling, often indulging in the numerous buffet trays. The food was delicious and the service excellent. I encourage you to reserve ahead of time to avoid the line.

Modern Indian influenced restaurant with bold flavors, cooked home style with authentic spices. We use real and fresh ingredients, our chais, lassis, and breads are made fresh to order, just for you. No artificial anything, no microwaves, no funny stuff.
We have no shortage of good Indian food in Redmond. We typically hit more traditional restaurants for a tandoor or vindaloo dinner. We happened across this little place by chance, seeing a sign for it on the road near the Microsoft campus and after looking at the menu decided to give it a try for lunch. The wait staff was a delight and very helpful w the menu in this little place. We ended up ordering four small plates to share (vindaloo sliders, chicken Keema egg rolls, samosa matter chaat, and Guppe Shuppe Pani Puri. I also had the blueberry honey lassi and we shared a paratha ( which made for great dipping into the lentil soup the samosas came in). Probably one too many items for two people, but all were delish! We saw a few other items going to other tables that looked fun to try next time. We will definitely come back and try more items. The only reason this isnât a five star review is because their bathrooms are not all the clean (smell weird, trash bin has seen better days, and the urinal was pretty gnarly as it was a m/f single stall).

Just two people in kitchen and the counter person directing what to cook, made the service slow. it took us more than 25 minutes to get our order during lunch time. and eventually when we did check, we were told to wait for 10 more minutes. Lunch time is expected to be busy and should have been planner well. BTW with busy I meant with 5 tables full, the place was already full.Never ever going here again.

We normally visit this place during the weekend for the dinner buffet. They have a decent spread and have a wide range of non-vegetarian items. The biryani is good and so are the sheek kababs. If you are hungry and like Indian non-vegetarian food, then this is definitely a good place to choose. The value for money is great! Two downsides of this place are that if you go towards their closing time, the good items (like kababs) are out of stock and take a long time to replenish or the food has overcooked itself in the heated serving dish! The service is decent.

It's hard to find Gujarati food in North America. This place does it very well. Ask if they have any dishes available that are not on the menu. We had dinner, and only ordered from the Gujarati part of the menu, so I can't comment on the Punjabi or more generic North Indian offerings. If you're unfamiliar with Gujarati food: it's still recognizably North Indian, but with different spicing and a number of unique dishes. This is a hearty, rustic cuisine. Haveli goes easy on the ghee and sugar but this is still rich, filling food.Possible drawbacks: they don't serve alcohol, and the ambience ... the place is clean and functional, but dim and a bit shabby. You can be sure patrons are there for the food.
