If ever someone is going to Port Louis , one should definitely eat there. It offers the best service and best food in the capital. The place may be somewhat different from others but the food is very tasty. It has become my favourite place. The service is rapid and the staff have good manners. Somaza which means so delicious is truly one !

I have been in this restaurant twice.Indra restaurant in Les Pailles is really very good restaurant located near mountains.Food was excellent specially tandoori starters and in desert 'Kulfi' was too good.Live music on tabla and sitar was played. It was very soothing.Only problem is, Its difficult to find out the restaurant as it is remotely located.

Went here after seeing a long line of locals out the front. Delicious! Abit of a wait due to the popularity but definitely get the farata (roti) as it is made fresh in front of you (dholl pouri is good but not as fresh). I had vegetarian and chose the ingredients I usually love- pickled veg, red rougaille sauce, green/brown tamarind sauce and chili- amazing. My partner got the chicken curry filling and also loved it. Would go back

What a disappointing experience - small portions and over prized! We ordered a takeaway and the portion sizes were very small for the price we paid. There are so many restaurants offering the same type of food in Raynerâs Lane so this place needs to offer more and consider its portion sizes in line with its pricing. Dear Bhavan ShantiYou must have mistaken this page for a different restaurant. The one you are referring to is not in the UK but in MauritiusOur price/Value for money is one of the best in Mauritius and hence your comment does not reflect our image.

Wonderful staff, cheap drinks, great rum.Unfortunately the food is not at all up to local standard. The imitation creole food may fool the tourists but will not attract the locals. La Marmite is almost an institution in Trou aux Biches and would do better if their food was more genuine.

Extremely disappointing, after reading the reviews we were expecting much much more. Ate Indian food in many countries (including India) but this was dreadful. Staff were friendly although uncomfortably staring too much. Most food was included in expensive set menus making it difficult to order just individual dishes. So we had one set menu and two individual dishes. All tasted terrible. The kebab was dry and tasted like cardboard. The chicken masala was just weird and sour, the rice was dry and the sauces were not spicy and tasted bad. Naan bread was just so-so too.To be fair, only good item was the mango lassi drink. And all that for an incredibly high price of more than 75 Euro!Stay away, the Indian food in the waterfront food courts is much better and cheaper!

Iâve had this place recommended to me and as I walked passed, noticed it was busy, even at lunchtime, where other places were empty. Always a good start. I had a fish curry and some sides, but the star of the show was the supremely delicious faratha bread. They do get that right here in Port Louis. Being busy the attention to detail was slightly lacking, but the service was friendly, and the price was right as well.
