I love Indian food, but the food here, was not very flavorful. The samosas and naan bread were good though. Service was friendly. I strongly recommend against serving the Peterborough tap water on the table at all. Please find another solution - that tap water is disgusting and does not belong on any table.

A small restaurant close to Del Creary Park Taste of India serves up fleshly prepared authentic food. From sweet to spicy, to hot and spicy, you will find a variety of dishes including rice, curry, etc. Portion sizes are generous, we opted for option AA which is dinner for two and ended up with enough leftovers for dinner at home the following day. This restaurant offers dine in and take out options. There is a small patio to the side of you prefer to be seated outside. Overall good value and quality food.

In the past we have problems finding tasty food in Peterborough. We have had burnt pub food, mediocre family restaurant, and badly served chain restaurant food. But on this trip we found Curry Village and we will be eating there again. It is located downstairs on one of the main streets. Parking could be difficult on a weekend. As you enter the smell of spices fille the nostrils. A table of labeled spices let you know what will be used in the kitchen. The menu is large and the heat levels clearly explained but they will adjust to the customers preferences. The server was quick with explanations and recommendations. Appetizers came fairly quickly. There was a delay in the mains, but that just tells you the food was freshly prepared and takes a little time. And everything was delicious.I spoke with the chef/owner and he was happy with our compliments and told us proudly that this September will be his 25th anniversary, so he must be doing things right in the kitchen. He gave us discount cards for our next visit and we will be back to use them.
