Booked a table for Friday night, restaurant pretty busy. But seated quickly. Bring your own alcohol is a good idea no charge for corkage. Had crab starter which was nice just felt it could have done with an onion salad and a dip just to bring it all together. Tandoori chicken was flavoursome. The mains were great lamb very tender and well spiced you could taste the individual spices chicken was tender and sauce was well spiced if in like again I would definetley go back as not the same old run of the mill dishes served in majority of indians

We have been staying in Looe regularly for the past 50 years and have frequently eaten at Viceroy (formerly Looe tandoori and Moonlight). We enjoy Indian food and in our opinion the food at the Viceroy is up there amongst the best. Yes, as some reviews have said the crockery is chipped but so what, you are not there to rate the quality of the china and as we all know, when you use a dishwasher, plates invariably end up chipped. The ambience is intimate with several tables in their own booths and the toilets are exceptionally clean (always an important issue to me). Now to the food - we started with pappadums and the dip selection (lime pickle, mango chutney, onion salad and mint sauce). The pappadums were fresh and melted in the mouth. We ate these whilst sampling a very pleasant Chilean Chardonnay and perusing the extensive menu. For starters we selected lamb tikka and chicken tikka. The lamb was exquisite, very tender and cooked in a lovely tikka sauce. My husband reported that the chicken tikka was equally good. For main course I asked advice on several of the chefs specialities as I wanted to try something different and finally settled on Murgh Haryali (medium hot chicken breast with coriander, mint, chillies and spices). This was accompanied with Vegetable rice and Sag Paneer. My husband chose Chicken tikka Vindaloo. The portion sizes were huge, really large pieces of tender chicken (real chicken and not frozen processed chicken) and I can honestly say that the speciality dish was one of the best curries I have ever tasted (and I have eaten a few). The meal was followed by hot towels and a complimentary liqueur. For those of you that love Indian food, do not miss the chance to eat here, you will not regret it

SunnySpice is the first south Indian / Indian restaurant in Fowey. We are situated near Albert Quay off the pontoons. The delightful, mouth watering delicacies of Kerala is on offer for all the discerning palette of Indian cuisine.
Oh dear. What a disappointing curry that was. Ordered a take away for four people. All the dishes were watery and tasteless. The Tarka Dal was particularly poor. We were puzzled by the good reviews and maybe we just got unlucky.

Himalayan Spice is an Indian and Nepalese restaurant in Liskeard serving Nepalese specialities and Indian classics. The restaurant also does an Indian takeaway service for customers to collect or delivered at their door.
no flock wall paper,no sitar,,there is "basic indian" to choose from, but look at the "chefs specials" and "nepal" menu,go early, dont rush, have a drink, poppadum or two,and forget the old "go-to madras". as you peruse the menu, nobody rushes you,not the place to go to if you are in a hurry, chill out and enjoy.liskeard is very lucky to have this place
