Visited during lunch time but choose the full menu due to holidays. The choice is very similar to that offered by a typical UK Indian restaurant with the usual nan breads, chapattis, pakoras etc.The starters are served with chutneys, including a particualrly spicy mint chutney. The main courses are very good with good spicing. There is also a lunch menu at under 6 euros which I will try next time.Overall a good choice with a very freindly waiter/owner.

Went in on impulse-the food smelled good. Nice atmosphere and quite busy. Ordered poppadums and regretted it-they were the old style packet ones with all the authenticity of some fried cardboard. Supermarkets sell better ones than these. Mains were very good when they came, but we did wait for over an hour for them (other diners who had arrived after us also waited but not for as long). After 50 minutes or so I offered to pay for drinks and starters and also asked if there was a take-away place in the area as we were hungry. This did the trick. The only other 'review' of Ashokan states "I had this opportunity to have my dinner in this restaurant on30June - 2nd July' Does this imply a 2 day wait for that reviewer?!
