Went here on recommendations from friends- we were not disappointed. Quite an extensive menu, with quirky but interesting decor, with painted murals on aspects of India. The food was delicious- deceptively filling, like most Indian meals. Our host from Gujarat was super friendly and enthusiastic and a delight to talk with. A really good Indian Restaurant!!
At Aaaroma Classic ..experience truely Indian Flavour from across India and Indian Sub continent. Our range includes Tandoori Dishes,Curry,Chats,Dosas and Sweets.
A new addition to Mittagong, curries are the specialty here, full of flavour, spices and great value too. They have a Bain Marie with the more popular curries for lunch and dinner. But if you have some time, ask them to make a curry of your choice from the extensive a la carte menu. As I prefer my curries hot, I ordered a Lamb Vindaloo which was full of flavour and spiciness. The Chilli Chicken, Chicken Mughlai is also recommended, both of which can be as spicy or mild as you wish. You can taste all the spices and ingredients that make up the curry. Prices are very reasonable, Vegetable Samosas also excellent if you're extra hungry. It's early days yet, but Aaaroma Classic has made a great start and I truly hope they keep up the quality and value.

This is our "go to" Indian in the Southern Highlands, perhaps Sydney....Tonight food was okay but nowhere near the usual standard. Butter Chicken wasnt wow like it normally is, rogan josh was bland, couldnt taste the garlic in the garlic naan and the service was terrible. Chef had to come out to help blundering waitresses. It wasnt even busy. Not happy..

We were surprised by the quality of the food. The waitress had a sense of humour and after dinner we asked to see the cook. His name was Gary and married to our waitress. Chicken Tikka, Aloo Gobi and Lamb and spinach. A couple of nan breads and we were done. BYO so a bonus. Bill $42.00. Who would argue?
