eat here a couple of times. Road side location, so a bit of noise. Great for people watching. Nice mix on the menu, a little more imagination than most of the beach shacks. Nice staff, good value

The real taste of Sri Lankan rice & curry. its healthy and eco friendly.
Ate there last night and enjoyed the food and conversation and âoverlookedâ the ever so slightly higher bill than expected. Delicious basic food but warm beer. No fridge!Arrived with high expectations to enjoy some seafood having witnessed another table enjoying a feast. Rather less appealing display than last night - possibly the remainders but still fresh enough. Agreed a price. Half arrived at the table with a small prawn as a makeweight! No doubt my other succulent item which he picked up as a pair when the price was agreed went to a slightly later arrival. My dinner was tasty but small. Mum is a gifted cook. The bill was a little less then the price agreed but not much. Left hungry and disappointed. Warm beer again and no cheaper than on the beach! Will not return. I am a tourist and have choices.

I was passing through this restaurant towards Hambantota with my family and we stop there for a lunch break (Randomly selected). I am very picky on my foods normally, but I wasn't dissapointed at all with the freshness of the food... Over all the food, service and the atmosphere were great. Happy staffs and happy customer!!! Difinetly, stop by again if I pass by... And for sure recommend to my family and friends!!! Thank you all for the great service...

We had a simple lunch of fried rice, Dahl curry, mix roti and coconut sambal. All were beautifully cooked fresh dishes. The owner came over and had a chat after our meal about our travels, his career in fishing and whale watching in the area, which was a nice touch.

Best & delicious indian foods in mirissa.
When we arrived, the bunch of young lads hanging out inside seemed taken by surprise that they had customers. It's low season which I get, but our arrival sprung them into a frenzy of panic it seemed. Ordering was difficult, as they didn't have a lot and they either couldn't understand our accents; or did an awful job of listening properly. Quite abrupt. We eventually ordered whatever they suggested to keep things simple. Which was paneer korma, chicken tandoor and pineapple smoothies. The food came in good time. It definitely wasn't a korma though. I think it was a Madras or Masalla. This tasted okay, but really small portions, with some very sad sides. Smoothies were nice though. The chicken was raw so I sent that back. It came back cooked through, but smothered in overly spicy tandoori sauce to cover up the hack job they had made of it. Not a lot of meat going for it either. I try to remain positive in my reviews for the most part, and wasn't going to review the place at all in truth. But as we were leaving, the waiter insisted that if we had anything "good" to say, leave a review on Tripadvisor. Well I have. The smoothies were nice!
